Welcome,
Beloved.
Have a seat.
Close your eyes,
Drop your shoulders,
Relax your jaw joints and breathe.
Welcome home to the place that no one and nothing can bother,
Harm,
Hurt or disappoint you.
Notice your breathing.
Slow down your exhales.
Longer,
Deeper,
Softer breaths.
In and out.
We'll bring our attention to the tip of our nose,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Bringing our attention to the opening of the nostrils,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Moving our attention to the belly of the nostrils,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Now bring awareness to the back of the nostrils,
The area your nose attaches itself to your face,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
With our next in-breath,
We'll go a little bit deeper,
Finding our way into our throat,
The trachea.
Imagine that you've been sucking on or chewing on a peppermint candy.
As we breathe in,
Cool air enters and as we breathe out,
Warm air softens the throat.
Relax your shoulders,
Relax the chest and ribcage.
With our next breath,
We'll go even a little bit deeper,
Finding our way into our chest and ribcage.
Imagine a pendulum rocking towards the heart and away from the heart.
As the pendulum rocks from side to side,
Chest to chest,
Ribcage to ribcage,
Shoulder blade to shoulder blade.
Notice prana,
Life force,
Energy or breath moving in and out,
In and out,
This amazing intricate body of yours.
Let's call this place home.
Finding your way home to your heart center.
Notice your heart center and hold space for yourself a little bit longer.
Bringing awareness to the organic rhythm of your breathing.
Repeat after me,
Breathing in,
I am,
Breathing out,
Home.
I am home.
I am home.
I am home.
Imagine the pendulum slowing down and coming into a stillness,
Like the ripples on a pond coming to a mirrored surface.
Ever so gently bow your head towards your heart,
Towards your body,
Towards this place of practice,
The sacred moment.
Imagine looking at your beautiful face in the mirror of a pond on the still vibrant body of water.
Notice your face,
Your forehead,
Eyebrows,
Eyes,
Cheeks,
Your nose,
Nostrils,
Your lips,
Your chin.
Notice your face.
Fully accepting yourself as you are,
Wholeheartedly,
Making room for yourself as you are.
Tenderly loving and accepting yourself as you are.
Find yourself in your heart space.
Make room and hold space for yourself,
For your needs,
Your feelings,
Your emotions,
Your wholeness.
In this place,
There is no room for ego.
There is no room for our thoughts that don't serve us anymore.
There is no room for right and wrong.
There is no room for I shoulds and I musts.
There is no room for comparing,
For competing,
For judging ourself.
In this place,
There is only room for being,
Wholeheartedly,
In the wholeness of who you are at this moment.
Opening space for yourself,
Acknowledging who you are at this moment,
Being comfortable with it,
Trusting it,
And settling right here,
Right now.
Ever so gently find your fingers,
Find your palms.
Notice the energy traveling through your arms,
Through your palms and the tips of your fingers.
Lift your hands,
Cross your arms and hug yourself.
Hold yourself so tenderly,
So gently and lovingly,
Caressing your upper arms or shoulders or shoulder blades,
Rocking yourself from side to side,
Bringing your chin close to your chest,
And reminding yourself that you can hold space for yourself.
You can meet your heart and accept who you are,
Just the way you are.
Namaste.
