Please settle down wherever you are,
Taking a comfortable seated position,
Either cross-legged on the floor if you can manage it,
Or comfortably on a chair.
Or if you're not well,
You might be lying down listening to this guided meditation.
And that's fine too,
Just bring kindness into your body.
And don't push your body if you're unwell and feeling weak.
And you can use awareness of the breathing to bring you more and more into quietude.
To inner peace.
And as you settle,
Notice what is happening for you right now.
Physically,
Emotionally,
Mentally,
But bringing an attitude of openness.
And try to develop more of a witness attitude.
Noticing,
Observing,
And not judging.
And be aware when you pick anything up and start running with it.
In that moment of just noticing,
It will dissipate.
There's no need to repress thoughts or worry if thoughts come.
Simply watch.
Be alert.
Be aware.
And the thought will stop running.
And so as I reduce the amount of talking and input,
It's an opportunity to notice that all-pervading silence.
In which my voice arises and ceases.
That all-pervasive silence that contains all the sounds,
All the comings and goings,
Sounds and thoughts,
Don't really disturb this silence.
The silence remains unmoved,
Untouched.
