Good morning,
This is Brenda Cary of Sacred Path Healing.
This meditation is meant to ground,
Energize,
And set the tone for your day.
So find a comfortable seat and let's begin.
We begin with some deeper breathing.
So drawing in an inhale through the nose as full as you can,
And a cleansing exhale out the mouth.
A couple more times,
Just like that,
In through the nose,
Filling up,
Feel that energy swelling into your body,
And then a full deep exhale out the mouth.
Feel as if the exhale draws you down into the earth for support.
One more time,
Inhale,
Fill up,
And feel the energy entering in.
And then whenever you are ready to exhale,
Feel that energy root you down,
Support you,
Stabilize you.
Now I'd like for you to continue with these full and deep breaths in through the nose,
And either out through the nose or the mouth,
You decide.
Now I'd like for you to increase the pace of your breath just slightly,
Not a big difference,
But begin to energize your whole being with your breath.
Notice the rise and fall of the belly,
And notice the slightly quicker pace.
Follow the ride of your breath,
Reminding yourself,
I am drawing in this energy of light and love,
And as I exhale,
I am rooting down,
Grounding into the earth for support and stability.
We are going to stay in this present moment for one minute,
Following your breath,
Noticing the slightly quicker pace,
Energizing your whole being with your breath.
With your breath.
And now that you are present with your breath,
You're going to become present with all of our senses.
So what I'd like for you to do is bring the palms of the hands together and rub them vigorously.
Vigorously rub the palms together as you create a little bit of heat from the friction,
And then open the palms up toward the sky in a receiving gesture.
What are you willing to receive today?
And then with lightly cupped hands,
Hover your hands over your eyes.
Remind yourself to see the goodness of yourself and others today.
And then move the palms of your hands and hover over the outsides of your ears and remind yourself,
May I listen deeply to myself and others today.
And hover the hands over the front of the throat.
Remind yourself,
May I speak kindness to myself and others today.
And then hover the hands over the heart space.
May I be compassionate to myself and others today.
And then once again,
Place the palms of the hands together,
Draw the thumbs into the heart space.
Now you get to set an intention for your day.
Make it very simple,
A positive word or phrase that you will carry forward,
That you will remind yourself how to be so that you receive this energy for yourself and then can authentically give this loving energy to every person you encounter.
Final deep breath in,
Cleansing breath out.
