Blessings dear friend,
My name is Brenda Carey and I am so honored to guide you through a candlelight meditation.
This is one of my favorite meditations to do during the time of solstice.
A time when I want to focus in on my own inner light.
So let this be an invitation to you to embrace your own inner radiance.
For this meditation you will need a candle that is lit.
So if you need to pause this recording and gather that,
Please do so.
When you have your lit candle,
I'd like for you to place it far enough away from you so that your head and neck do not pitch forward,
Slumping your posture.
So you want to be in a comfortable seat with your spine nice and tall.
That includes your neck and your crown of the head rising toward the sky.
So you may need to adjust your candle.
You might need to raise it up.
You can stack some books possibly and place it on that.
And once you have your candle in the ideal position,
I would invite you to just close your eyes about halfway down.
So you are softly gazing at the candle flame.
Give yourself a moment to settle your eyes on the flame of the candle.
Once your eyes are softly focused there,
Let's start by deepening the breath.
Slow down the rhythm of every inhale and exhale.
And with every cycle of breath,
You begin to create this sacred space for your own inner light to expand and radiate out into the world.
Just softly focus.
Just noticing all the details of the candle flame.
Seeing the slight movements of the flame.
Continuing to softly gaze at the candle flame.
Breath is deep and slow and fluid.
Now for just a moment,
Close the eyes all the way down.
And see that candle flame in your inner vision.
And I would invite you to draw that flame down into your heart space.
Imagining that radiance beaming from your heart.
This energetic center of self-love and compassion.
Slowly embodying this inner radiance that you already are.
And slowly begin to open the eyes and once again let the gaze softly settle on the candle flame.
This outer flame,
This outer light of the candle to your inner light.
Saying this affirmation either to yourself or out loud.
I am light and love.
I am light and love.
I am light and love.
Breathing in a deep breath in and a full exhale out.
Can you feel complete,
Blowing out your candle in a sacred manner.
As an acknowledgement of sending out your inner light into the world.
And the light within me honors the light within you.
