A short reflective poem of rhythm and rhyme narrating what it feels like to drop into and practice meditation. This spoken word creation addresses the felt sense and the absence of time in the present. A quality of stillness overtakes the listener as time settles and one drops into curiosity.

Linger for time.

Pleasant this place in stillness with you.

Sensing the breeze on our skin so gentle and true.

Expanded and formless,

Wide open,

Sky blue.

Nothing to do and nowhere to go.

Open to this seamless,

This endless,

This flow.

Nothing to prove,

To get,

Or to show.

Connected and committed,

Alive in this space.

Touching the pure constant,

No attachment,

This grace.

Softening more now,

This lightness on face.

Movement of body with each subtle breath felt.

Thoughts fade away as shoulders do melt.

Sensing this moment,

Magic as life force has dealt.

I'm humbled and curious,

Grateful and still.

Letting go of the force,

The doing,

The will.

And the thinking does subside as the being does fill.

Unknown in this sense,

I linger for time.

Yet no past,

No future,

To find only this sublime.

Just patiently waiting as I listen for the chime.

The strike of the sound connecting to heart.

A continuation of a thread,

Impossible to part.

This whole,

The container,

The end is the start.

As the sound feeds away and I open my eyes,

I'm resting right here,

Expansive with size.

The silence,

Body comfort,

I rise.
