This cozy, restorative meditation is intended to help you feel relaxed and calmed in your mind, body, and spirit. We use the gift of visualization to help transport us to a place that feels familiar and peaceful. There is no music on this track nor do I play any musical instruments, so this would be a great one to fall asleep to if you'd like, or as a reset during the day.

So go ahead and begin by getting into a comfortable position.

And I invite you to maybe grab a soft blanket or pillow to bring with you into this cozy session.

Set yourself up in a way that is both relaxing and open.

And one that you feel like you can stay in for the next 10 to 15 minutes.

And once you're settled in,

Let's go ahead and take a few deep breaths here together.

Inhaling,

Filling up your body with air and exhaling,

Softening into the space that you're in.

Again,

Inhaling,

Filling up and exhaling and softening one last time.

Inhaling and exhaling,

Releasing,

Letting go.

You can go ahead and begin to soften your gaze and relax the eyes,

The space around the eyes.

And then go ahead and shut your eyes if you haven't already.

And you can let your breath just naturally flow at whatever rhythm it would like to.

For the next few moments,

I'd love for you to imagine one of your most favorite and relaxing places in the whole world.

Try not to second guess what comes up for you here,

Just somewhere that feels comforting and familiar.

And in this space,

What do your surroundings look like?

Take in the scenery.

Begin to tune in to the sounds that are all around you,

Or maybe there's not any sounds at all.

That's the temperature of the air in this space.

And how does your mind,

Body and spirit feel here?

As you take your next inhale,

Imagine that the air is made of pure love,

Coziness and relaxation.

And with each sip of air,

You become more relaxed and calm in this space.

Feel the waves of relaxation wash over you,

Starting at the top of the head,

Making its way down your body.

If any points of pain or tightness come up,

See if you can greet them with a gentle acknowledgement and welcome them into this space.

And if the mind begins to wander,

Gently pull your attention back to this warm,

Comfortable space and back to your breath,

Your breathing.

You might even repeat,

Breathing in,

I know that I am breathing in.

Breathing out,

I know that I am breathing out.

Remember that there's nothing you have to do here,

That your job is to simply be,

Witness,

Notice without judgment.

Back in the healing energy of this space,

Its tender touch and loving compassion.

Go ahead and do another scan of your body,

Maybe starting at the feet this time.

Just letting this relaxation wash over each part of your body,

Softening any tightness or tension.

No one needs anything from you right now,

This is your only job.

Notice the quality of your breathing in this space.

See if your body,

Your mind,

Your spirit feel at ease.

Just take note of that.

As well as any images that come up for you,

Any messages.

Take a moment to place a hand on your heart and send some gratitude to yourself for taking this time today.

We'll begin to come back into the physical space that you're in.

Remember that you can visit this space whenever you'd like.

Noticing how you're feeling now versus when you started the meditation and if anything has shifted for you.

And whenever you're ready,

Coming back into the room and opening your eyes.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

I'm sending you so much love and a deep full breath and I will see you soon.

Until next time.

Thank you! I liked this simple, quiet, short practice to reset mid-afternoon. No background sounds, just voice - and I like your voice and pace!
