A Poem & Affirmations For Confidence & Creativity

"Do you hear that: the way the birds are singing with their whole bodies? The dance of the wind outside the window? The gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe and settle into yourself? Your creativity is a gift to this world. Your perspective is a sacred elixir for someone who has not yet been able to put their own heart into words."

I begin this track with an original poem titled "When You Decide You Are Ready" which talks about releasing the need to be different or worthy enough in order to be ready to begin a creative project or take the next step. I then move into reciting some affirmations based on this poem which are intended to help you feel inspired, confident, capable, creative, and connected.

The track finishes with about one minute of music bought from Audio Jungle titled "Background Meditation".

When you decide you are ready,

Most likely the laundry will not be folded.

There will be hair in the shower drain and dust in the corners of the room.

There will be dishes stacked like trophies.

Our skin will ripple and crease like water in motion.

This is all proof of our living.

Our origami hearts wait with their many folds in chambers,

Asking us to let go of what we think it means to be ready,

To remember our innate capacity and our confidence.

Like a fish swimming eagerly within us,

My friend,

We do not have to wait till we are different.

Let's soften around this never-ending game of enoughness.

Let's remember we are more than our discomfort.

There are worlds within us waiting for us to choose to be ready.

There is creativity swimming towards us now,

And here we are,

Arms wide open,

Ready to move alongside it.

I give myself the loving gift of permission to be where I am and who I am.

I release the stories I tell myself about how far along I should be in this life.

I move with the ever-changing rhythm of life,

And I let my intuition and creativity guide me.

I know that my creativity and expression are part of the divinity within me.

This untouchable,

Loving force that connects us all also helps me connect with and express my own innate wisdom.

Creativity and inspiration are everywhere,

Inviting me to be curious about them.
