Good morning and welcome to today's meditation.
So today's meditation is about remembering who you are.
Remembering the loving,
Compassionate,
Brilliant being that is you.
And starting over again today with a compassionate heart.
So as we transition from sleep into wakefulness,
Allowing whatever happened during the night,
Any dreams,
Allowing them to slowly fade away as you prepare for a brand new 24 hours to be you.
And not some far off version of you.
Not some ideal version.
But the you that is always there,
Sitting within your heart,
Within your belly,
Within your inner wisdom.
So we're going to take a deep breath into those spaces now.
So maybe placing a hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Taking a deep breath in.
Holding.
And exhaling,
Letting it all go again.
Inhaling.
Holding.
And exhaling,
Softening the shoulders,
The muscles of the face.
Inhaling in through the nose if you can.
Holding.
Exhaling,
Maybe even forming your mouth into a straw to help lengthen that exhale.
Again,
Inhaling,
Filling up the body with sunlight,
With warmth,
With renewal.
Holding.
And exhaling,
Lengthening that exhale.
And allowing your breath to be however it wants to right now as you take some gentle,
Soft movements in your body.
So begin,
If your hand is placed on your heart,
Begin to just slowly,
Mindfully kind of rub the surface of your skin.
If there's another hand on your belly,
Begin to just take some gentle,
Loving strokes of your skin.
The intention here is to just be reminded that we are in these bodies right now.
We are here.
A brand new day before us.
And you can continue to just mindfully and lovingly touch your physical body on the arms.
You can even cross your arms and stroke down the length of your left and right arms.
You can massage the face,
The muscles of the jaw,
The muscles of the eyes.
You can begin to roll out the shoulders and the neck if that feels good.
Begin to see and feel this present moment,
This day rolled out in front of you like a beautiful red carpet.
A beautiful pathway.
And trust that you are being pulled or urged or guided forward on this path.
And that at any moment throughout the day you can stop.
You can place a hand on your heart.
You can take that deep,
Full breath in and that long exhale out.
And you can remember who you are.
You can remember how much you've weathered.
You can remember all the ways in which you've already moved past obstacles.
And you can rest in yourself.
Creating a space within that feels like a homecoming,
A space to return to.
When you need an internal reminder of who you are,
The magic of who you are.
And a reminder that it's okay and it's necessary to slow down.
To let go of the shoulds and the musts and the urgency to come back.
Crossing the arms in front of each other and giving some gentle touch to our bodies.
Just a reminder that you are capable of being both strong and soft.
You're capable of cultivating a strength in your vulnerability,
Your authenticity,
Your compassion,
Your joy,
Your pleasure.
You are an incredibly wonderful,
Gorgeous human.
So let's go ahead and take three more breaths before we end our time together and you begin to have a beautiful day.
Inhaling in through the nose,
Filling up to that lower belly.
Feeling the warmth in the lower belly.
And exhaling,
Softening,
Stabilizing,
Recalibrating.
Inhaling fully,
Deeply.
Exhaling,
Feeling inspired,
Creative,
Courageous.
One more time.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Trusting,
Surrendering,
Believing in yourself.
Begin to take some gentle movements,
Some stretches.
If at this point you'd like to get up out of your bed,
If that's where you're at.
Or move from your meditation cushion or space.
I wish you so much goodness for today.
Sending you so much love from my corner of the world to yours.
You got this.
I'll see you soon.
