Thank you for joining me in this guided meditation practice for Earth Star Chakra grounding.
Start by finding an easy seat with the back straight and the arms down at your sides,
In your lap or on your thighs.
Breathe normally in an unaltered breath and notice how your body feels,
How the energy is moving through your body at this moment,
Even before starting this meditation practice.
Notice any sensations in your feet,
Ankles,
Calves,
Knees,
Thighs and hips,
And up to your abdomen,
Chest,
Down your arms,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Wrists and hands,
And up through your neck and head.
If you'd like,
You can close your eyes or soften your gaze as we begin the practice.
Now imagine the layers of the earth beneath you,
The multiple layers of rock,
Limestone,
Water and crystals that have formed and settled over millions of years.
We sit above the wisdom and richness of many before us and have access to this wisdom when we connect to Earth Star Chakra,
Named Vasudhara or Daughter of the Earth.
Begin to imagine the earth's richest roots coming from the center of the earth and slowly creeping up towards you,
Energized and guided by Earth Mother herself.
Visualize these roots gently breaking apart the rocks and hardened elements ahead of it to get to you.
Earth Mother is an open being,
A welcoming being that wants to support and nourish you.
Let her.
As the roots reach closer and closer to you,
See if you can feel the energy of this planet begin to pulse in the space around you.
And once the rich brown roots reach about a foot beneath your feet or the parts of your body touching the ground,
Imagine them encircling a globe of red-brown clay-colored light.
This is Earth Star Chakra.
Visualize this chakra globe pulsing with energy to match your natural breath,
With your inhales expanding the globe's colored rays and your exhales bringing it back into its source.
After a few breath cycles,
See if you can guide the energy of Earth Star Chakra through the earth's roots and into your body.
Allow the roots to reach past this globe and into your feet,
Where it transforms into light energy,
The color of golden light,
Carrying forth the intentions and ancestral wisdom of Earth Star Chakra into your body.
Allow the light to slowly ascend your body,
Passing and awakening each chakra from the base of your spine to the top of your head.
Allow the roots to wrap around your root chakra at the base of your spine,
Creep towards your sacral chakra between your root chakra and belly button,
And envelop that energy space with love and compassion.
Continue this slow ascent as the roots wrap around and pass the solar plexus chakra above the navel,
Wrapping it with gentle care,
Passing your heart chakra,
Offering it ease and calm,
The throat chakra,
Gifting it freedom of expression,
And passing up to the third eye chakra in the middle of your brain,
Wrapping it coolly with acceptance,
And reaching up to the crown chakra at the top of your head,
Where the earth's roots offer beautiful wisdom.
Once the roots reach the crown of your head,
The energy hovers just above your head at Soul Star Chakra,
The color of the universe.
Here,
The light beams out in a stream of light above you and shoots up until it reaches the furthest part of our sky.
Visualize this movement of beam of light from the crown of your head to Soul Star Chakra up into the sky.
Once it reaches the furthest layer of our atmosphere,
This light then circles back down towards you and enters the top of your head,
Goes down your body through the chakras,
And back down into the center of the world in a circular,
Continual,
Symbiotic tethering between you,
The earth,
And the sky.
Sit here for a moment of silence as you continue to visualize this exchange and movement of energy coming up from the earth through you,
Into the sky,
Back through you,
And into the earth's core.
I will be silent in this next minute as well so you can better engage in this visualization practice on your own.
As you come back into the space around you,
Allow the energy flow to slowly dissipate and release.
Relax your breathing and notice how your body is feeling and see if you can find the areas of energy movement in the form of tingling,
Pulsing,
Or some other sensation in the body.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes and flutter your eyelids open if they were closed.
We'll take a deep breath together,
In through the nose,
And out through the mouth.
If you'd like,
You can place your hands over your heart,
One on top of the other to close.
Smile and bow slightly.
