Welcome to the Mind Spa. It isn’t often that we allow our brains a chance to rest. Join me in this short, stress-reducing meditation to give your mind a break from overthinking and overstimulation. Escape into this oasis for a moment and return feeling refreshed. Music by Chris Collins

Welcome to the Mind Spa.

Here I invite you to let go of the day,

If only for a moment,

And immerse yourself in these relaxing and calming sounds,

Allowing them to wash over you while your thoughts and worries simply melt away.

Benefits may include a greater sense of peacefulness,

Enhanced clarity,

And feeling more grounded and present with yourself and others.

Please find a safe and comfortable position where you can relax and close your eyes.

I suggest using headphones if you can,

And if you have a comfortable blanket or anything that will make you feel more cozy and relaxed,

Please feel free to get them now.

If you have a scented room spray or a relaxing essential oil that you'd like to use,

This could be a perfect time to simply use these items to enhance your relaxation experience.

Creating a zen-like atmosphere can further allow your mind and body to relax.

You may even wish to light a candle or soak in a warm bath during this time,

But again,

Please ensure that you are safe.

Once you've gotten comfortable,

Feel free to massage your temples for a moment or two.

Gently stretch your neck from side to side,

Allow your shoulders to fall away from your ears for whatever you need to feel more relaxed and at peace.

Now take a nice,

Deep inhale through your nose,

And then hold for a moment before exhaling,

Extending past where you normally would to release all the air out of your lungs.

After a short pause,

Take another nice,

Deep inhale.

After a short pause,

Take a long,

Deep exhale.

I invite you now to take a few more deep breaths at your own pace.

While letting go of any lingering thoughts or emotions or stories that you may be holding onto from the day,

Letting go of any perceived good or bad experiences that you may have had,

You are here now,

Present and safe,

Allowing your breath to return to its regular pace.

Sink a little further into the surface beneath you.

Feel your mind and body relax as you allow yourself to be present and at peace with these calming sounds,

Slowly deepening your breathing once again,

Simply noticing how you feel after this temporary change of mental scenery.

As our time at the Mind Spa comes to a close,

I invite you to smile to yourself and thank yourself for taking the time to do something positive for your body and mind.
