Thank you for joining me in this morning meditation to help start the day feeling calm and relaxed.
Please begin by finding a comfortable position and if you haven't already,
Gently close your eyes and take a nice deep breath.
In through your nose for a count of four.
Pause at the top and exhale through your nose for a count of four.
We'll repeat this a few more times.
Inhale for a count of one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Pause and exhale two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
As you allow your breath to return to its normal rhythm once again,
Simply observe any thoughts that may arise,
Allowing them to be there,
But knowing that they're only temporary visitors.
They will pass and they will change.
Thank them for being there and then allow them to leave again by simply returning to focus on your breath.
Now we'll sit in silence for a few minutes.
We'll continue with your alternate breathing.
Notice how you're feeling now,
Whether you feel more calm or maybe more grounded or relaxed.
Feel free to take a nice,
Deep breath as you reach your arms overhead and stretch.
Do whatever feels good to you.
You can stretch some more,
Roll your shoulders back a few times.
And when you're ready,
You may slowly begin to open your eyes.
