Welcome to this Summer Solstice Meditation for Sleep.
Given that this is the shortest night of the year,
It can be a little difficult to fall asleep sometimes.
There's a lot of light and energy around us,
But now it is time to rest so that we can awaken feeling refreshed and open to receiving the light and positivity that this new season will offer us.
So find a nice,
Comfortable position.
You may lie on your back or you may sit on the floor.
And just gently close over your eyes.
It can be nice to wear a sleep mask or something to keep the light out if it may still be a little bit light outside or even if you just have some light in your room.
Allow yourself to sink into the surface beneath you.
Take a nice,
Deep inhale.
And as you allow yourself to exhale,
Just let go of any energy that you've been holding onto from the day.
Good.
Breathe in.
And just breathe out and let it all go.
Allow your arms and legs to feel heavy.
Allow your feet to sink into the surface beneath you.
Imagine a cool ocean wave washing over you from your feet all the way up to cover your head.
It's a gentle,
Soothing,
Relaxing,
Beautiful,
Cold,
Refreshing wave.
And as it washes over you,
You feel yourself become sleepier and heavier still.
Breathing deeply,
Allowing your body to relax.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Tomorrow when you awaken feeling refreshed and rejuvenated from a beautiful,
Restful night of sleep,
You will rise with the sun and feel so vibrant,
So energized,
So filled with vitality.
But for now,
You are allowed to rest.
Give yourself the permission to simply let go and relax.
We will now lie in silence for 10 minutes.
Allow the sounds and the binaural beats to wash over you,
Relaxing your mind and your body.
When the 10 minutes is complete,
The music will simply fade away.
You will not need to be interrupted by my voice or any other sounds or thoughts.
Simply allow yourself to drift off into sleep.
Gently let go.
When you are awake.
