Reuben guides us, to help us drop into a spiritual connection with ourselves. These affirmations have been written to give us some simple guidance, simply to honour ourselves. This includes relating to our emotions in an open and receptive way. The example of the sadness that is sometimes within us is used within this practice. We start with a simple introduction to settle us in, then we have a hypnotic meditative countdown to get to us into the practice. Then, some simple insights from The Wisdom of The Waves about the honouring of ourselves. Finally, we get to use these affirmations, as the ambient cinematic background music does its thing. This, ideally, to bring us into a wise and kind acknowledgment, and appreciation of ourselves.

I choose to honor myself.

For a fully immersive experience,

I recommend listening with headphones.

Let's go to the wisdom of the waves for our daily dose of gentle inspiration.

You chose this moment,

Meaning you chose yourself.

This is a gift for you and from you.

You are going to be affirming your relationship to the you that is here now.

As I choose to honor myself has a deeper acknowledgement,

A wiser,

Kinder and more compassionate acknowledgement of the you here now listening to these very words.

The more we bring appreciation to ourselves,

The more we align with a deeper sense of self which goes beyond the judging mind,

The more we grow spiritually.

Who is the one human being who can always be there,

No matter what?

Who is the one person that knows exactly what it's like and how difficult things can get?

Who is the one human being who can truly understand me,

Empathize better than anyone else at any time?

Repeat after me,

I am.

My dear sweet soul,

Go easy on yourself,

Maybe acknowledging the little winds in your life,

Maybe acknowledging the disappointments too,

Especially if they can help you to hold yourself in kindness.

And in doing so,

This energy will be available for those in your life that you hold close to your heart.

And so it is.

Relax,

Give yourself the right to be here now.

As the countdown from 10 to 1 takes place,

You can either allow yourself to soften into this moment,

Surrendering to the pull of gravity as it gently holds you,

Or you can listen to the space between the numbers.

Let's drop into this.

I choose me first.

Honouring my challenges,

Honouring myself,

Honouring my growth,

And honouring my future self.

As I choose to honour myself,

I am coming to know more and more that honouring myself deepens my sense of spirituality.

As I choose to honour myself,

I am coming to know more and more that choosing gratitude for the me here now deepens my sense of connection to myself and the world.

And I deserve it.

As I choose to honour myself,

I recognise that sometimes I lose myself,

Sometimes I forget myself.

Remembering myself is part of the journey.

And then I realign with myself.

I reconnect with myself.

In those micro-moments of showing up for myself.

Just like now.

I choose to recognise that any feelings,

Any energies in motion that I experience within my dear body are there for a reason.

Communicate.

Motivate.

Illuminate.

Emotions communicate with me.

Emotions motivate me to take action.

Emotions illuminate to me that there is something behind these feelings that I care about.

Communicate.

Motivate.

Illuminate.

I allow you,

Dear body,

To feel sad when sadness arises.

I choose to see sadness as an energy in motion.

And in doing so,

I help you to process this,

My dear sweet body.

Sadness communicates to me that I need to process what's going on.

Sadness motivates me to slow down,

Rest and restore.

And sadness illuminates to me that this sadness is showing me something that I care about.

Thank you,

Dear body.

It is okay to feel sad.

I allow you,

Dear body,

To feel whatever it is that you're giving to me.

Any feelings as energies in motion.

In these moments,

I am here to nurture you.

It is okay to feel whatever I feel.

Sadness.

Fear.

Grief.

Love.

Joy.

Gratitude.

It is okay to feel a mixture of feelings that don't even have words to describe them.

I know it's overwhelming sometimes.

And in these moments,

My dear body,

I choose to soothe you.

As I choose to honour myself,

I know that I am here to parent myself with kind awareness.

As I choose to honour myself,

I choose to gently notice my thoughts and feelings.

And in doing so,

Know that this is how I parent myself.

As I choose to honour myself,

I am worthy of this energy.

As I choose to honour myself,

I am surrounded by a miracle.

I am a miracle within this miracle.

I am here for me.

Honouring my challenges.

Honouring myself.

Honouring my growth.

And honouring my future self.

And so it is.
