Kindness,
Setting this time aside for me,
Preparing myself to absorb the insights of today.
These insights that may just influence me.
Upon my way,
Let's go to the wisdom of the waves for our daily dose of gentle inspiration.
Remember,
Everyone has periods of feeling disconnected.
It's part of why we are here.
We disconnect,
So we can reconnect.
This is the reality of life.
And so it is.
Everyone needs kindness.
We all go through tough times.
It's part of being a spiritual being,
Having a human experience.
Everyone has something they are struggling with that causes them some concern.
No matter how tough a situation can be for us.
Whether we are in a difficult situation,
An argument with a friend,
Or you've received some disappointing news,
You are always better off if you have a friend by your side.
Someone who is kind and caring.
Someone who says kind things when you are in pain.
When times are tough,
It's not the natural tendency of the mind to be kind to ourselves.
Often we get hooked by unkind thoughts.
Unkind thoughts are natural and sometimes happen often.
This is normal.
But it is not helpful to be hooked by them.
Because when we get hooked by these unkind thoughts,
We get pulled away from who we really are at a deeper level.
Here's a quote by Eckhart Tolle.
Don't ask your mind for permission to be kind to yourself.
It will give you plenty of reasons as to why you shouldn't.
This quote helps us give the green light to unkind thoughts.
The green light as in allowing them to be and not giving them any energy.
So we can redirect kindness towards ourselves,
Maybe for experiencing a thought that is unkind.
Even in the most difficult situations,
There are little things we can do to be kind and caring.
Even little things we can do can make a difference.
There is someone you know well that has kind tendencies.
Allow yourself to recall a time,
Whether it's recent or distant,
Where you were being kind to somebody.
Maybe it was altruistically.
Maybe because they were going through a tough patch in their lives.
Notice where you are.
Notice the other person.
What are they saying or doing?
This is an example of how kindness goes both ways.
Kindness comes in thoughts,
Words and actions.
Kind thoughts,
Well wishes that we can send out to somebody.
May you be well.
And words.
I am here for you.
I appreciate you because.
How have you used your hands?
In kind ways.
Every small kind action makes a difference.
Everybody needs kindness.
It's our job to fine tune the quality of kindness because everybody is different in how they receive this.
Enhancing moments of meaningful connection for you and those around you.
Remember kindness goes both ways.
And come to know this is something to be grateful for.
I am grateful for this special moment that I have carved out for myself.
To absorb this wisdom from the waves,
I choose a thought,
A word or even an action in kindness for my inner world so this has a knock on effect to my outer world.
As we start the day,
I choose to acknowledge that the more I practice kindness,
The more I increase my overall wellbeing.
The more I practice kindness,
The more my body and soul are soothed.
The more I practice kindness,
The more moments of meaningful connection I experience.
I choose a little gesture of kindness to bring to one person today as I start my day.
