For Licensed Mental Health Professionals Only This work we do—holding space, listening deeply, witnessing the unspeakable—is sacred. And it is also heavy. In a world that feels increasingly overwhelming, many of us are carrying more than our share. And it’s showing up—in our sleep, in our relationships, in our capacity to stay present with the people we serve. We need space too. To feel held. To exhale. To remember who we are when we are not taking care of others. That’s why we’re hosting a restorative retreat just for mental health professionals, and we’d love to welcome you. If you know anyone that you feel would benefit from this time, please feel free to share this with them. This weekend will be a gentle recalibration—a time to come back to yourself. Expect nurturing mornings, honest conversations, shared laughter, nourishing meals, movement, rest, and space to process what’s been stirring beneath the surface. You’ll be in the company of other clinicians who know what it means to carry the stories of others—and who are looking for the same thing: a soft place to land. Just real-time tending to the one who’s always tending to others. You. If this speaks to something inside you, I hope you’ll join us. You don’t have to hold it all alone. With warmth and care, Theresa and Walker My Inner Knowing

Nourishing Meals, Made with Heart At every retreat, Theresa and Walker pour love and intention into the meals we personally prepare—because we believe food is not just fuel, it’s care. Our menus are thoughtfully crafted to be nourishing, seasonal, and deeply satisfying, with an emphasis on simplicity, comfort, and whole ingredients. Expect: Warm, grounding dishes that feel like a hug—think roasted vegetables, herb-infused grains, and homemade soups simmered to perfection. Fresh salads and vibrant sides that celebrate what’s local and in season. Delicious breakfasts with options like steel-cut oats, fresh fruit, eggs, and warm baked goods. Evening meals that invite connection, served family-style, where stories and laughter flow as easily as the food. Fruits, nuts, baked treats and herbal teas that feel like small gifts of rest and pleasure. We do our very best to meet the dietary needs of every guest. If you have any food allergies, sensitivities, or preferences, please let us know in advance—we’re happy to accommodate whenever we can. Our goal is simple: to nourish you in every sense of the word.

Schedule

Over four days, we’ll gather in a warm, welcoming space to rest, reflect, and reconnect—both with ourselves and with one another. This immersive retreat blends mindful practices, embodied experiences, and nature’s quiet wisdom to help us embrace the gifts of winter: slowing down, listening deeply, and tending the inner fire that sustains us through the season. The retreat begins on Thursday evening with a communal dinner and an opening ceremony, where participants set intentions amidst candlelight and the scent of herbs and woodsmoke. Grounding practices, such as smudging, guided meditation, and journaling, help attendees prepare for an inward journey. On Friday, the day starts with breakfast and gentle movement, followed by group sharing and exercises designed to explore one's inner landscape. After lunch, participants enjoy time in nature, observing its details, and conclude the day with an evening circle of stories and reflection. Saturday features morning mindfulness and movement, nature-based activities, and preparation for an outdoor ceremonial experience. As dusk falls, a shared ritual around a fire allows for release and renewal. The retreat concludes on Sunday morning with gratitude and integration activities, including group sharing and a closing ritual, leaving participants with clarity, compassion, and strength for the future.

Testimonials

info

Attending two My Inner Knowing Retreats with Walker Bird and Theresa Hubbard has been a profoundly transformative experience that served as a springboard into the beautiful and profound era I’m currently residing in. These retreats supported my self-discovery journey through unique and powerful experiences like a fire walk, bibliotherapy, and extended meditations, all held within a warm, intuitive, and safe container. This environment gave me the courage to emote, unblend from younger parts of myself, and unburden them. It allowed me to lean into both self-compassion and compassion for others. For me, the transformation occurred in the space of shared vulnerability. I was able to openly share my inner thoughts, concerns, and memories, as well as my dreams for the future, while being deeply supported. Likewise, I had the opportunity to provide that same support to others. This deeply human connection fostered increased insight, which I’ve successfully integrated into my daily life. After my first retreat, I found the courage to make a significant career change—a shift I’m confident was inspired by the fire walk! Beyond these personal breakthroughs, I also built lifelong connections with fellow attendees that I continue to cherish. The retreats also ignited a rapid increase in my spiritual devotion, filling my life with more love and purpose than ever before. Truly, I am so grateful for this transformative experience. Walker and Theresa bring years of training, wisdom, and intuitive guidance to each experiential activity, creating a space that is both safe and empowering. My Inner Knowing Retreats are truly a gift to the soul.

I have had the opportunity to attend 2 retreats with Walker and Theresa. Both were life-giving in different ways. Theresa and Walker create a safe, loving space to guide you to look inside yourself. Most recently, I attended in February of 2024, at a time when I was struggling with listening to my own voice. The retreat not only gave me space to find my inner voice again, but also allowed me to release fears I had been holding onto. Each exercise led to deeper insight into my own journey and the lessons learned continue to impact how I show up for myself. If your thinking about attending...listen to that inner voice and go! You are worth it!

Attending My Inner Knowing Wellness Retreats has been life-changing for me. Beyond the incredible personal growth and insights I’ve gained, one of the greatest gifts has been the sense of community I’ve found. As an adult, building meaningful connections can be challenging, but these retreats provide a safe and nurturing space to meet like-minded individuals who truly understand and support each other. The friendships I’ve formed here are invaluable, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share this experience.

Theresa and Walker do a wonderful job leading conversation, being vulnerable, and asking probing questions not only to guests, but to one another. Their laughter, humor, tears, and respect and love for one another on the podcast is like being on a weekend retreat with them in person. Delightful to continue to learn and be challenged through their conversations and personal experiences!
