Food & Nourishment The Philosophy At The Alma Sanctuary, we believe that nourishment is a foundational pillar of nervous system repair. Our menu for The Nourished Soul is intentionally designed to replenish mineral stores and support the body’s transition into a state of ease. We prioritize "High Prana" (life force) foods that are as beautiful to the eye as they are healing to the gut. The Cuisine Our menu is primarily Plant-Based and Gluten-Free, featuring vibrant, early-summer ingredients sourced from local Gulf Coast purveyors. While the meals are designed to be light and clearing for the Florida heat, they are deeply grounding and satisfying. We use Ayurvedic principles to ensure every dish supports optimal digestion and sustained energy. A Typical Day of Nourishment: Morning: Adaptogenic elixirs and warm, spiced morning bowls with seasonal fruits to gently awaken the system. Lunch: Chef-prepared "Vibrancy Bowls" featuring protein-rich legumes, coastal greens, and house-made botanical dressings. Afternoon: Hydrating infusions and mineral-dense snacks to support stable blood sugar. Evening: Elegant, slow-simmered communal dinners designed to ground your energy for deep, restorative sleep. Special Dietary Needs We are a highly inclusive kitchen. While our base menu is vegan and gluten-free to support collective ease of digestion, we are happy to seamlessly accommodate specific allergies or additional dietary requirements with advance notice. Everyone will feel deeply cared for and sustained at our table.

FAQs

Guest requirements

  • A Desire for Deep Rest. This retreat is designed for those navigating burnout or chronic stress. We ask that you arrive ready to embrace a slower, unhurried pace and a "mindful disconnection" from digital demands.

  • Openness to All Levels. No prior experience with yoga, meditation, or Ayurveda is required. Our practices are gentle, accessible, and led with trauma-informed care to meet you exactly where you are.

  • Physical Mobility for Coastal Living. Participants should be comfortable walking on uneven sand and navigating the stairs of our multi-story beachfront estate (though an elevator is available for ease of movement between floors).

  • Commitment to a Regulated Space. To support the stabilization of the nervous system, our sanctuary is a dry (alcohol-free) and smoke-free environment. We ask that all guests honor this collective container for the duration of the retreat.

  • Health and Dietary Disclosure. Upon booking, we require the completion of a brief health and dietary intake form. This allows us to safely support your unique needs and ensure your nourishment is handled with precision and care.

  • Travel Insurance. To protect your investment and our intimate circle, we require that all participants secure personal travel insurance prior to arrival.

The remaining balance for the retreat is due 30 days prior to the start date. If this balance is paid earlier than these 30 days, you are eligible to cancel and receive a full refund of this remaining balance, provided you do so at least 30 days before the retreat begins.
