Food is medicine as per Ayurveda - Ayurvedic cuisine at Kairali – The Ayurvedic Healing Village honors the long-standing Ayurvedic food customs. Fundamentally, Ayurvedic cooking is a holistic approach to nutrition that balances the body, mind, and spirit by carefully choosing and preparing its ingredients. The foundation of Ayurvedic cooking is the belief that food is medicine and that our diet has a significant influence on our general health. It highlights nutrient-dense, easily digestible, natural, seasonal, and locally sourced components. The food is tailored to each person’s specific dosha (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha) to preserve or reestablish bodily equilibrium. The six basic tastes—sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and astringent—are carefully combined in each meal to produce a pleasing and well-balanced experience. In this way, Ayurvedic food boosts digestion, prevents imbalances, and promotes general health. Note: 1) All food will be vegetarian. If the Ayurvedic doctor prescribes a specific diet for you, such a meal would be prepared for the duration of the stay. 2) All ingredients come from the farms of the resort. They are organically grown and Kairali follows a "farm-to-plate" concept.

Schedule

Ranjith has curated this experience as what is called the RESET model. The retreat program follows this model. R – Release & Restore Begin by unburdening yourself. Through Ayurvedic therapies, grounding breathwork, and healing rituals, you’ll let go of the weight you’ve been carrying—mentally, emotionally, and physically. E – Embody & Expand Step into embodiment practices like yoga, movement, and ecstatic dance, allowing you to reconnect with your body’s wisdom. Shed stagnation, awaken your senses, and embrace the expansiveness within you. S – Silence & Stillness Amidst guided meditations, nature immersion, and quiet reflection, you’ll learn to listen—not just to the world around you, but to your own inner voice. This is where true transformation begins. E – Elevate & Awaken Through soul-aligned workshops, journaling, and fire rituals, you’ll gain clarity and insight into what’s next for you. A space to rewrite your narrative, shift your perspective, and awaken your highest self. T – Thrive & Integrate As you prepare to return to your life, you’ll receive integration practices and personalized tools to sustain your transformation beyond the retreat—ensuring that this isn’t just a temporary escape, but a permanent shift.

Testimonials

info

I am a medical doctor and have always been very keen about the physical part of asanas and yoga. With Ranjith, attending the Ananda Lahari Yoga Retreat In India, I realized the deeper and more spiritual aspect of yoga and how i can truly integrate it into my experience.

Dr. Rainer, Germany

The Ananda Lahari Retreat was amazing. I had a great experience learning about how yoga can affect my mind and body. Being a plant based chef, I enjoyed my stay here and the cuisine of Kairali as well.
