Highlights

  • Through body-based practices, emotional healing, and the reclamation of your voice, this journey provides the sacred space to awaken fully.

Details

"Out of Exile" is not just a retreat; it is a compelling call to return home—to heal the inner fractures that reverberate outward and to reclaim our innate power as agents of transformation. This 7-night, 6-day experience invites those who sense that true healing begins within. Yet healing is not a passive endeavour; it demands active, embodied participation. We witness the disintegration of outdated systems, yet without mindful embodiment and conscious action, we risk perpetuating the destructive patterns we seek to transcend. At this critical moment, we require more than intellectual awakening; we need embodied awakening. By exploring somatic practices, shadow work, grief rituals, and ecstatic movement, we are not merely healing ourselves; we are becoming the catalysts for the change our world urgently needs. The Out of Exile retreat is a radical homecoming to the deepest parts of yourself—those parts that have been silenced, shamed, or exiled.

I've felt like I haven't been able to share properly because people might think me a little woo. I tried. I told some people it felt like a psychedelic trip. But if I were speaking without fear I would say. "Yeah, I just finished the Yoga Teacher Training." Then they'd say. "Oh, interesting. How was it?" I'd smile and briefly be at loss for words then say, "I was guided there by the wind. She's really spectacular you know, the wind? Have you met her? It's been awhile since I've sung to her, but here I am again listening and learning. I think Echo listens to the wind too, she's the woman who put this whole shebang on. Incredible, truly. Maybe she is the wind. Maria and Evangalos too, what a privilege it was to be a student to their life story, and life work." I'd stop for a moment, and then with heartfelt energy say "I feel like I've been shown how to move and feel more deeply. How to express differently and express more. I saw that my ability to communicate was struggling, and my honesty was hanging by a thread. I learned that I can be a storm and still be lovely, be quiet and yet be heard. Smile and love with more intention. I'm slowly being introduced to death. We are moving towards a lifelong friendship (; I mediated a few nights ago on it. It is all a continued introduction to living, being alive. An open door, a fresh breath of air. A kind holding of the hand. It was a chaotic heart beating, and a slowed moment of sadness. A desperation to leave allowed to stay, and a permission to leave done so with love. In this space of gratitude I think warmly of the ones that came on this expedition as well. Faces that move with the same expressions I feel. Hearts that yearn, love, feel defeat. Hands that reach out to give and push away. I take these people along with me, some faces remain, others may drift. Yet their presence has touched mine, and I smile a bit brighter because it, I learn a bit more about myself because of them." And then I come to, realizing that I've been staring at screen for far too long. So long that the sentence box is moving vibrating a moving. With expansive love, may we all feel, I take my leave.

Echo has been such a beautiful source of joy and inspiration in my life. Enrolling in her Tantra workshops and later her Full Circle Yoga Teacher Training has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Her teachings are truly transformative, be it in a yoga class, a meditation circle or even a YTT lecture, she has a way around words and poetry that makes you connect deeper to yourself and take in the experience fully. I came into this Yoga Teacher Training to learn how to teach yoga and I came out of it learning how to live my yoga and how to be a better communicator, yogi and person in general. The depth of the program astounded me. I can’t imagine a more complete program, I would recommend it to everyone. Forever in my heart.

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Everything is very professional. Awesome teachers with so much knowledge and ambition. It is quite intensive and a lot of work but everything so interesting. Wonderful friends that I learned so much from and it was magical to see what a beautiful connection can be made through our computer screen. We cried together, danced, laughed, breathed and supported each other through this journey. I will never forget these 4 months that we spent together and I will be forever grateful.
