Light On Life: Spring Sensations is a 5-day mindfulness retreat celebrating the spring season and exploring themes of renewal, growth, and aliveness for the body and mind. WHO IS THIS RETREAT FOR? Light On Life: Spring Sensations is designed for anyone wishing to reconnect with their inner aliveness and awaken to the potential of life's new beginnings. Whether you are new to mindfulness or a seasoned practitioner, you will find this 5-day retreat supportive if: - You are emerging from a period of transition and wish to step into the next season of your life with renewed clarity and strength. - You long to reconnect with your sense of purpose and joy, and to cultivate a grounded confidence for the path ahead. - You are ready to deepen your mindfulness practice, balancing rest with mindful effort and wholehearted presence. - You cherish the idea of pausing amid the natural beauty of Ubud, supported by a like-minded community of practitioners. WHY SPRING? Spring is a season of awakening -- a return to life, energy, and colour. At Light On Life: Spring Sensations, we contemplate and practice the following themes: 1. Renewal and Rebirth As nature awakens, we are reminded of our own capacity to begin anew, to meet each day with freshness, curiosity, and hope. 2. Growth and Intention Spring invites us to plant the seeds of possibility, to nurture what matters most, and to set clear intentions for the months ahead. 3. Nurturing and Care Like tender shoots reaching for light, our growth requires attentiveness and gentleness. Spring invites us to nurture ourselves with patience, compassion, and steady care. 4. Joy and Wonder Amidst blooming life, spring encourages us to rediscover our innate joyfulness, to open our senses, and to delight in the simplicity of being. 5. Energy and Presence As life stirs around us, we are reminded of the dynamic balance between rest and movement. Spring calls us to reawaken our vitality while staying grounded in presence.

The architecture at BeingSattvaa blurs the lines between inside and outside in a seamless way- this is made possible because our temperatures remain between 20-30 degrees throughout the year. All living spaces are connected to nature; water, landscape and building come together in a harmonious way. Using a sparse palette of materials with a predominance of dark wood, our buildings radiate positive energy. At BeingSattvaa, we begin each day with an appreciation for all that we’ve been given. You can relax and let yourself stroll through our sprawling gardens, feeling the blades of grass in between your toes and taking in the scent of the flowers around. You can take a moment to unplug – listen to the songs of the birds, the buzz of bees and butterflies, and the whisper of the wind; you can wander around our ample fruit and vegetable garden taking in the sights of the majestic coconut palms, the swaying banana plants, the lush jackfruit trees and many more… At BeingSattvaa, we incorporate a routine that includes the four pillars of wellness: Exercise, Nutrition, Mindfulness Practice, and Rest and Relaxation.

Testimonials

info

'The retreat helped me to reconnect with myself and find a sense of calm. I especially appreciated Erin who was a supportive and knowledgeable instructor. She created a safe space for personal growth and reflection. I left feeling refreshed, energized, and with a renewed sense of purpose. I highly recommend this retreat to anyone seeking a transformative experience.'

Michele Urwin, Australia

Erin has a beautiful demeanor, a calm presence and is highly skilled in teaching mindfulness. She incorporated various training methods skillfully to help meet everyone's learning style. Her training provided space to practice, contemplate and reflect on mindfulness teachings. I was reminded and supported to bring mindfulness into each moment of the day. This has made implementing mindfulness practice at home achievable. It feels like second nature now. Thank you, Erin!

Lyn Patman, Australia

Erin is the best meditation teacher I've ever met, very experienced and knowledgeable. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to attend her retreat and deeply appreciate it.

Jan Wong, Australia

Erin is a deeply experienced and intellectually grounded Mindfulness Teacher. Her thoughtful integration of research-based insights with embodied practice resonated strongly with my own need for evidence and understanding. This balanced approach gave me the confidence to explore and engage with mindfulness in a way that felt both credible and transformative. What sets Erin apart is her unwavering acceptance of our perspectives and questions—no matter how basic or uncertain they may seem. She meets each inquiry with respect and curiosity, never allowing us to feel lesser. In her presence, we are given the space to be ourselves, to learn, and to grow without judgment. For those curious about mindfulness, I encourage you to simply begin. It’s only through direct experience that its benefits—for your wellbeing, your relationships, and your career—truly reveal themselves.

Karen Ng, Singapore

This is a restful retreat with mindfulness practices and reflections, not totally doing nothing. I enjoyed the peace during the breath practices as I got more comfortable with the program. There was some free time to do our own activities at the retreat centre: painting, soaking in the pool, going for massage treatments, or just staying in the room to journal. Thank you Erin for holding space for us to practice and reflect! And without the comfort of the living space and healthy meals, we wouldn't have been able to practice well. Thanks also to the care and hospitality of BeingSattvaa.
