A 5-day mindfulness meditation retreat celebrating the Autumn Equinox and exploring themes of harvest, transition, and resilience for the body and mind. Who is this retreat for? - Light On Life: Autumn Awakening is designed for anyone open to looking inward and discovering their own potential for transformation and renewal. - Whether you are new to mindfulness meditation or an experienced practitioner, you will find this 5-day retreat helpful if: - You are feeling overwhelmed by the demands of daily life, and you are ready to embrace moments of pause, stillness, silence, and introspection in a tranquil tropical oasis. - You haven't had time to attend to yourself and you're looking for a supportive space to reconnect and recalibrate. - You've always known the transformative power of mindfulness and you would like to be guided in learning and deepening the skills of awareness and observation. - You relish the idea of nurturing wellbeing and celebrating personal growth together with a group of like-minded practitioners. Why Autumn? Autumn is a season rich with themes that offer inspiration for reflection and change. At Light On Life: Autumn Awakenings, we contemplate and practice the following: 1. Harvest and Gratitude Autumn is a time to reflect on our accomplishments and celebrate our growth no matter how small, and practice gratitude towards what life has given us. 2. Balance and Harmony The Autumn Equinox on 23 September 2025, which brings almost equal lengths of night and day, reminds us of the importance of maintaining balance of mind and finding harmony between our inner and outer landscapes. 3. Change and Transition A time of transformation, Autumn reminds us to embrace life's inevitable changes with acceptance and grace and to see every unpredictability as a chance to evolve with greater wisdom. 4. Shedding and Letting Go Just as trees shed their leaves, autumn inspires us to release what no longer serves us - be it old patterns, emotional burdens, or limiting beliefs, and create space for renewal. 5. Resilience and Skillfulness In preparation for winter, Autumn teaches us to strengthen our courage and resilience for what lies ahead, navigate the ups and downs of life with skillfulness, and remain unwavering in our pursuit of well-being and wisdom. What Should I Expect? Over the five days, you will be: - Guided in gentle mindfulness meditation practices in various postures and in both stillness and movement. - Engaging in reflections, contemplations, and journaling exercises to deepen your learning experience. - Treated to healthy and wholesome home-cooked vegetarian meals, and invited to practice mindful eating. - Immersed in intentional moments of slowing down, stillness, and silence to encourage presence and introspection. - Introduced to screen-sabbatical time and encouraged to disconnect in order to reconnect. - Spending time in nature, and rediscovering the connection between ourselves and the natural world. - Exploring the richness of your inner world through reading, writing, and poetry sharing. - Conversing with the teacher and participating in insightful dialogues with fellow practitioners.

The architecture at BeingSattvaa blurs the lines between inside and outside in a seamless way- this is made possible because our temperatures remain between 20-30 degrees throughout the year. All living spaces are connected to nature; water, landscape and building come together in a harmonious way. Using a sparse palette of materials with a predominance of dark wood, our buildings radiate positive energy. At BeingSattvaa, we begin each day with an appreciation for all that we’ve been given. You can relax and let yourself stroll through our sprawling gardens, feeling the blades of grass in between your toes and taking in the scent of the flowers around. You can take a moment to unplug – listen to the songs of the birds, the buzz of bees and butterflies, and the whisper of the wind; you can wander around our ample fruit and vegetable garden taking in the sights of the majestic coconut palms, the swaying banana plants, the lush jackfruit trees and many more… At BeingSattvaa, we incorporate a routine that includes the four pillars of wellness: Exercise, Nutrition, Mindfulness Practice, and Rest and Relaxation.
