Details
Center for Natural Living is pleased to share its fifteen years of training yoga teachers in Costa Rica. This 200-hour yoga teacher training is a hybrid model, with both online and in-person required to complete your Yoga Alliance 200HR certification. The training starts online, two evenings a week, with the final two weeks to be held at Rancho Margot in March/April 2026. Take this opportunity to train with teachers who will share the lineage of yoga. The curriculum is registered with Yoga Alliance and is based on Raja and Hatha yoga. Learn asana techniques, teaching methodology, functional anatomy, pranayama, lifestyles, and philosophy. Our discourse in yoga philosophy, using the template of the yoga sutras (aphorisms) of Sri Patanjali, helps in contextualizing yoga in our lives and daily living. Guided Meditation sessions within the healing energy of the rain forest. Costa Rica - Close to trees, volcano, rivers, and waterfalls. Come and immerse yourself for two weeks. During the training, you will get three nourishing meals, medicinal teas, and use of the warm pool. The yoga shala is adjacent to the flowing Cano Negro River. The training will help you to learn and feel yoga in your body as you learn how to teach it safely to others. After completing the training, you will be given a 200-hour completion certificate, which can be registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT200 yoga teacher.

Tucked deep in the mountains near Arenal Volcano, Rancho Margot feels like another world. Here, the pace slows. The noise quiets. And something inside you begins to soften. This is not a resort. It is a living, breathing example of what is possible when we live in harmony with nature. Food is grown on site. Every building is made by hand. The land is lush, alive, and always inviting you to return to yourself. Waking up at Rancho Margot means moving with intention, sipping fresh herbal tea from the garden, and starting your day in rhythm with nature. It is a place where the distractions fall away and your body, mind, and heart have space to breathe. During your yoga teacher training, this land becomes part of your transformation. It holds you while you release. It reminds you of what is essential. And it shows you what it means to live in deep alignment with the earth and with yourself. Come see what opens when you give yourself the gift of stillness, connection, and wild beauty. Rancho Margot is more than a retreat location. It is a return to what is real. We have a bunkhouse accommodation option available currently. Contact us for questions on other options.

Every meal at Rancho Margot is a celebration of nourishment and care. Grown, raised, and prepared on the land, the food reflects the rhythms of the earth and the love poured into every step. You’ll enjoy a vibrant salad bar, with greens and vegetables harvested just steps from the kitchen. Homemade breads are baked daily, and fresh cheeses are crafted on-site. One of the most loved meals is wood-fired pizza, pulled straight from the farm’s traditional oven and served with intention and joy. Freshly made desserts follow, simple and satisfying. The hot bar features comforting Costa Rican dishes, made with ingredients that honor the region and its roots. All meat is humanely raised on the farm, prepared with care and deep respect for the animals and the land. This food doesn’t just feed you. It grounds you. It reminds you what it feels like to be well cared for, from the inside out.
