Welcome to my meditation on clearing for the empath.

Like the singer Fai sings,

I feel it all.

I literally feel it all.

I used to joke saying I feel everything but the kitchen sink.

I feel people,

Their pain,

Their stuff,

Animals,

Weather,

Nature changing.

I can be one big emotional sponge.

This helps and has caused some discomfort and pain.

These empathic qualities can take a toll.

If you feel similar and can relate,

The following meditation is for you.

Join me to clear ground and center.

Together,

We will let go of our day and segue to peace,

Calm and restorative sleep.

Join me coming home to a sacred place,

A space to rejuvenate.

The following meditation is instructional or ritual routine.

It can be used as a visualization if you choose to.

If you will do this as a routine,

You can prepare the following.

A candle,

Incense,

Essential oil,

Lotion or perfume,

A meditation pillow,

Bolster or blanket,

A basin or a tub with warm water and towels,

And a clean prepared bed for restorative sleep.

Let us begin.

Thank you for joining me,

Friends.

Please find yourself in a comfortable seated position on a pillow,

Bolster or blanket.

Settle here,

Grounding,

Connecting to the earth,

The floor or the carpet.

And in this moment,

We come home and back to our body,

Connecting to our breath.

Take three cleansing breaths,

Letting go of any tension that you're holding.

Now you can take some time to light a candle,

Either real or in your mind.

You can light some incense.

And we watch the flame and we watch the smoke rise with your eyes open or in your mind's eye.

The flame is bright and it flickers as we watch the flickering and the smoke rise,

We let go of our thoughts.

We let go of any tension.

And we begin to relax and melt into the floor.

Take three cleansing breaths.

Now take some time to find your scented oil or lotion.

Put it on your wrist and in the palm of your hands.

And we rub our palms together and bring our palms together in prayer form.

Bring your palms to your nostrils and breathe in.

Take three breaths,

Inhaling the aroma as you breathe in,

Letting go of your thoughts,

Bringing your attention to the aroma,

To the inhalation and the exhalation.

We allow our body to relax and soften.

And we observe and witness any emotions that rise.

Check in and observe.

Now that we are relaxed,

Is there any emotions,

A residue that you feel that are from someone else,

From another?

Are there any emotional storms which aren't yours?

We can let go of what isn't ours to carry with our exhalation and our breath.

Take three cleansing breaths,

Letting go.

And in our mind and in our heart,

We say,

I let go of all that is not mine to carry.

I let go.

With attention,

I let go.

And now we give thanks.

We give thanks to the universe.

We give thanks to the Earth.

We offer gratitude for our empathic gifts.

And now is the time for renewal.

So fill the basin of warm water or the tub and gently caress the water and feel the warmth.

Feel the sensations,

The water touching your skin.

Feel renewed and calm.

In a way that feels good for you,

You can wash your hands,

Your feet,

Your face,

Your body.

Cleansing.

Now we take time to blow out our candles and our incense and we dim the lights.

And I encourage you to swaddle yourself in a blanket,

A cotton sheet like a cocoon.

And nestle into your bed,

Preparing for sleep.

We have let go of debris and emotional storms,

Energy and tension from the day.

And we are peaceful,

Calm,

Serene.

I thank you for taking time to clear,

Calm and center peaceful dreams.

Namaste.
