Welcome to this full moon meditation.
Now before you start your practice,
Make sure you sit comfortably in an upright position.
Maybe that's on the floor,
On the pillow,
Perhaps in a chair.
Rest your hands in your lap or on your knees or thighs.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Bring your awareness inwards.
Take a few deep breaths in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
And with every exhale,
Feel the body soften and relax into your seat.
And after a few breaths like this,
Return to your natural breath with the mouth closed.
Now visualize that you are in a beautiful place in nature,
Near the ocean.
It's dark and you can hear the sound of the waves crashing.
This rhythmic and calming sound repeating itself wave after wave.
You breathe in deeply and feel the thin fresh air entering your body through the nostrils.
Traveling down to the lungs.
Feel how it fills you up with life energy,
Wave after wave.
You look at the ocean and what you see is a silver light creating the shapes of the waves.
And when you look up,
You see in the clear dark night sky the full moon appearing as this beautiful globe of light.
And as you look deeper into this light,
You may even see how the full moon is revealing its wild landscape.
Breathe in and breathe out.
And as you are cruising to the moon,
You feel how the moon is shining its silver light on you.
How it's touching your skin gently.
Take a deep breath in.
Long breath out.
And believe you can allow the full moon to guide you in the process of releasing.
As you are now ready to let go of things that no longer serve you.
And while you keep your eyes closed,
Bring your gaze up to the space between your eyebrows,
Your third eye.
Imagine the full moon right there between your eyebrows,
Shining its light and cleansing energy.
Breathe in deeply while keeping your eyes focused on that full moon between your eyebrows.
And feel how that cleansing energy is entering your body and how it travels through the whole body.
Down along the arms.
All the way to all your fingers,
Fingertips.
To your heart.
Your solar plexus.
The base of your spine.
And all the way down to the legs,
To the feet and the toes.
With every inhalation,
Breathe in that beautiful light.
Through your third eye.
And feel how it completely fills you up.
And with exhalation,
Feel how it completely empties you.
Inhale.
Feel the silver light entering through your third eye,
Radiating throughout the whole body.
Exhale,
Feel the release,
All the negativity,
Disturbing thoughts,
Emotions.
All the things that no longer serve you.
Feel with every exhale how you completely empty out.
It's almost as if it's coming out of your pores.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Continue this cycle of breathing in your own rhythm.
Allowing the silver light of the full moon to cleanse your whole body,
Mind,
Spirit,
Your whole system.
Breathing in.
And a few more breaths here.
Breathing in,
Allowing that cleansing energy of the full moon to flow around throughout the whole body.
And then breathe out all those last tiny bits that you want to let go of,
That you may still be holding onto.
Feel it coming out of your pores.
Last cleansing breaths.
Making sure you release anything that you may still be holding onto,
Completely releasing energies that you want to let go of.
Until nothing negative,
Nothing that disturbs you remains.
Until you are left with the things that you want to hold onto.
The things that you want to take with you into the present and the future.
Take one more deep breath in through the nose,
Completely filling up.
Open your mouth and release.
Let go of any focus.
Keep your eyes closed and bring your gaze back to wherever it feels natural to you.
And simply be here.
Observe your body.
Notice any sensations.
And shift your focus to observing the movements of the mind.
Notice the breath.
And then slowly make your way back.
Become aware of any sounds around you.
Imagine the space where you are in right now.
Create this vision of the space and imagine yourself sitting in that space.
With a strong back and a soft front.
Invite some small movements back into fingers and toes.
Movements in your face.
Then cover your eyelids with your hands.
Slowly open your eyes.
This meditation is now finished.
Maybe take a moment to journal.
Write down how this experience was for you.
Maybe write down what you want to let go of with this full moon.
And perhaps if you are in a safe place,
Burn your full moon intention to completely let go.
