Welcome to this fire meditation,
Where we explore Agni,
The fire element.
This element with a quality to transform,
To illuminate.
And we are going to explore this element that we also carry inside us.
This flame,
This willpower and courage.
I invite you to take a seat,
Whether that's on the chair or on the floor.
Make yourself comfortable and come to sit with a straight spine.
You may rest your hands wherever they feel comfortable and then you close your eyes.
And I always like to start by taking a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
As you become comfortable in your seat,
Start to turn your awareness inwards.
And just take this moment to notice how you feel right now.
And depending on the time of the day,
You may feel tired or rested.
You may feel emotional.
There may be thoughts running through your mind.
Simply notice that.
Notice that without judging.
We're simply exploring what's going on inside us right now.
And as you start to become aware of your inner state,
You notice the thoughts and emotions.
Bring your awareness to your navel.
And the area in the body that is related to the fire elements,
To our solar plexus,
Manipuya chakra.
And as you rest your awareness there near your navel,
Invite a breath and feel how with your inhalation the belly starts to rise.
And with your exhalation,
Draw the navel into the spine completely empty out.
Breathing in,
Feel the belly rising.
Exhale drawing in to empty.
Perhaps you start to breathe a little deeper.
Create a long breath out,
Emptying,
Emptying,
Emptying.
And then the breath flows in again.
And there's this expansion in the belly.
Exhaling completely emptying.
Continue these long breaths.
As you rest your awareness in the place,
In the body where your digestive fire is active.
While you're here and you're breathing,
Start to visualize a flame.
Visualize a flame and its color.
And as you breathe in,
The flame is growing,
Expanding.
And as you breathe out,
The flame becomes smaller but the light becomes brighter.
So there's this glowing and growing big light on the inhale and on the exhale the flame is more compact.
And it is.
Now let go of that visualization.
Perhaps you feel a warm sensation near your navel.
As the breath creates that heat in the body,
This strength,
This power and courage that you carry inside you starts to awaken.
Let's awaken this confidence even more.
We'll find Chin Mudra,
The hand gesture of consciousness.
That's related to the fire element.
We'll place the thumb and the index finger together with the palms facing upwards.
And we'll place our hands at the level of our navel.
So thumb and index fingers touch.
Palms face upwards.
And as you place your hands near your navel,
Imagine in your palms you're carrying candles.
And candles with that illuminating light.
This warmth that you are carrying in your palms and the light that's radiating.
This flame of intelligence.
It's ever growing with every breath.
It's the power of transformation that you are carrying in your palms.
And now we'll start to connect with the mantra,
Ram.
So keep your hands near your navel in Chin Mudra,
Still visualizing this illuminating light that you are carrying in your palms.
And as you breathe in,
The light grows bigger.
And as you breathe out,
Mentally repeat the mantra Ram.
Breathing in,
Light is growing.
Breathing out,
Ram.
Inhaling.
Exhale Ram.
Continue in your own rhythm.
Exhale Ram.
Now let go of the mantra.
Stay with that illuminating light.
As you bring your palms together in front of your heart,
Know that you carry this transformative power with you.
And then you can always come back to this meditation to remind yourself that you have that light and that you shine your light on others,
The people around you.
And as long as you keep on shining your light,
This creates a change as you inspire others to shine their light.
Bring your hands to your eyebrows center.
When you're ready,
You slowly open your eyes and come back to everyday life when you're ready.
