Hello and welcome.
This is a meditation on interacting with intention.
You can use this as a morning meditation or at any time throughout your day when you wish to bring your full presence to your life.
It's designed to guide you into being before doing,
Being intentional about how you want to show up in every interaction with the places,
People,
And possibilities of your day,
Focusing on how you want to feel,
Knowing that the past was practice,
The future is fuel,
But the present is what's most powerful.
As you settle in for this practice,
Take a moment to find a comfortable position for your body,
Knowing that you can move at any time.
Even now,
As you find this position,
You will notice that every interaction with the world around you is an invitation to know yourself better.
You will focus on the source of your true power today,
Not seeking to control anything outside of yourself,
But grounding in your endless and innate ability to choose.
To choose your experience of every interaction,
Your thoughts,
Beliefs,
Feelings,
And actions,
Trusting that as you choose your response with intention,
You invite the world around you to reflect that integrity.
When it feels good to you,
Bring your attention to your breath,
Letting it move in and out naturally,
Letting it anchor you to the here and now.
When you're ready,
You can let your gaze soften or your eyes to close,
Or you may choose an object to focus on in the room.
As you breathe,
Notice any thoughts or feelings that might be swirling in your mind,
The resistance you may be feeling towards slowing down for this meditation when there is so much to do.
You may be time-traveling,
Mulling over yesterday or focusing on tomorrow.
Let your mind go there,
And then gently remind it we are going to time-travel with intention today.
Without judgment,
Acknowledge any thoughts and feelings,
And gently release them with each exhale.
Imagine that each breath is like a growing beam of light,
Revealing thoughts or feelings that are there,
And then watching them fade with each exhale,
Allowing your mind to become clear,
Calm,
And bright.
Bring your attention to that space in front of you in your mind.
Visualize your day unfolding like a blank canvas that you can shape.
See the upcoming events as they are.
Maybe there are meetings,
Conversations,
Tasks or activities awaiting you.
Notice them as simply what they are,
Without attaching any pressure or expectation to them.
Let them be neutral for now.
I invite you to take a moment to check in and ask yourself,
What is truly important for me today?
Allow the question to echo softly in your mind,
Letting go of the need to answer immediately,
And allow whatever arises to come up naturally.
As you sit with this question,
Notice thoughts,
Emotions,
Or images that arise,
Trusting that what is most important for you today will make itself known.
Now,
Bring your focus to how you want to show up for what is ahead.
Ask yourself,
How do I want to be today?
Think of how you want to feel,
How you want to approach and interact with what's ahead.
Perhaps you want to show up with calm and patience,
Focus or determination,
Kindness or openness.
Imagine stepping into the day.
See yourself moving through the hours with intention.
Discerning and deliberate in your ways of being and doing,
Making choices aligned with your values,
And responding rather than reacting,
Turning obstacles into opportunities.
Let's take a moment to set a clear intention.
For what is ahead.
An intention is different from a goal.
It is not about doing,
But about the being behind it.
It is the energy or quality you want to bring to every interaction.
Perhaps your intention is to be present.
To remain calm,
To act with compassion,
Or to stay grounded amidst any busyness.
I intend to show up with.
Feel the power of these words soaking into every part of you.
Sinking into where you are grounded to the earth.
Visualize this intention unfolding throughout the day.
Guiding you and your thoughts,
Beliefs,
Actions,
And way of being in the world.
As you bask in your intention,
Becoming it,
Take a moment to reflect on how this will impact your day.
The way you work,
Relate,
And live in each moment.
When you're ready,
Take a deep centering breath.
Expand that intention through your inhale,
And ground that intention deep into your being on the exhale.
Let your body and your mind sense the clarity you feel around your intention.
As you begin to become aware of your body,
The weight of it on the ground,
The air on your skin,
Take a moment to give gratitude to yourself for taking the time to be intentional,
To bring your full self to anything and anyone that crosses your path today.
When you're ready,
Take one final deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let that intention solidify within your being as you open your eyes to the room.
