This meditation is inspired by Carolyn Mace's book,
Anatomy of the Spirit.
We'll use her seven sacred truths to bring balance to the chakras.
Let's get started.
So we'll begin by grounding.
So find yourself in a comfortable seated position with arms and legs uncrossed,
Spine tall and straight but not stiff and feet firmly planted on the ground.
You can have your back supported up against a wall or a chair or free.
And let's begin by just imagining our roots extending deep down into the ground like a tree.
Allowing breath to be normal and just finding a feeling of balance,
Of centeredness and ease.
And allowing yourself to let go of any tension in the body with deep breaths.
You can even imagine any tension moving out of the body through the soles of your feet down into the earth.
Let's begin with the first chakra.
So focusing on the point at the very base of the spine or the pelvic floor area,
Imagine a glowing red warm orb of energy sitting right there at the base of your spine.
As you focus your attention on it,
You begin to feel more grounded in your body.
The sacred truth of the root chakra is all is one.
Meaning that you and the earth are one.
You are one with every human,
Every animal,
Insect,
Plant and tree on this earth.
As you sit and focus your attention on this point at the very base of your spine,
Repeat to yourself a few times,
All is one.
As you allow breath to move in and out naturally,
All is one.
Tuning in to the feeling of what that statement means to you.
All is one.
Shifting your attention an inward gaze now to the area just below your belly button.
And I like to imagine the glow of an amazing sunset,
Pinks and oranges dancing and flowing together.
The sacred truth of the sacral chakra is honor one another.
And this is our creative center and where we cultivate harmony in relationships.
So as you breathe in and out,
Repeat silently to yourself this sacred truth.
Honor one another.
And feel what that means for you.
Honor one another.
We've felt our connection to the world around us first with the root chakra and now allow yourself to feel your very own place in this world within your family,
Your group of friends,
Your community.
Honor one another.
Next we bring our attention to the center of our stomachs,
The point in between the heart and the belly button.
This is the solar plexus,
Our personal power center.
Honor thyself is the sacred truth of this chakra.
How do you honor yourself?
As you repeat this sacred truth,
Honor thyself silently with your breath,
Moving in and out.
Imagine a tiny ancient sun growing,
Glowing a brilliant yellow at your solar plexus.
Self-esteem,
Self-respect,
Self-love,
A sense of purpose,
These all emerge from this energy center.
Keep your focus on this small glowing sun as you repeat to yourself silently,
Honor thyself.
Now we focus on the heart,
Imagining a beautiful deep green emerald in the center of your chest.
The sacred truth for the heart chakra is love is divine power.
Take a few moments here to think of someone you love unconditionally.
It could be a parent,
A partner,
A friend,
A pet.
Feeling the corners of your lips turning upward into a smile as you think of them.
And holding the thought of them in your heart with the tenderness that you would hold this precious green jewel.
As you repeat to yourself love is divine power,
Feel that intense power as you hold this person you love so dearly in your heart.
Love is divine power.
What can you accomplish when you're fueled by love?
Know that this power can never be depleted.
Love is divine power.
Moving up the body now,
Focus your attention on the soft part of your throat just below the Adam's apple.
The throat chakra holds the sacred truth,
Surrender personal will to divine will.
As you repeat this to yourself as you continue to breathe naturally in and out,
Imagine a gorgeous sky blue ball of energy radiating outwards from your throat.
Feel what it means for you to surrender your personal will to divine will.
And as you sit here feeling at ease,
Feeling content,
Set an intention for yourself to bring this same ease to accepting changes that come in life.
Surrender personal will to divine will.
Allowing yourself to really enjoy this feeling of ease in the body and giving yourself permission to express yourself authentically.
Bring your inner gaze and attention to your third eye now,
Located directly in between your eyebrows.
Allow yourself to see a deep purple or indigo pall of energy right here.
Seek only the truth is the sacred truth of the third eye.
The third eye chakra is the point of access of our intuition.
Simply maintaining your focus and attention on this area while repeating the sacred truth,
Seek only the truth.
Continuing to breathe evenly in and out.
Seek only the truth.
If there are any questions you've been wanting an answer to,
Ask now and trust that the truth will come to you.
Finally we come to the seventh chakra,
The crown chakra at the top of the head.
I like to imagine a white cloud of energy radiating upwards,
Which connects me directly to source,
Higher power,
God,
Divinity,
Etc.
We come to the final sacred truth which is,
I live in the present moment.
Only once you're able to live in the present moment will you actually begin to notice the beauty and abundance that the universe is constantly sharing with you.
It starts with becoming grounded as we did with the first chakra,
And realizing all is one,
And moving up through the different energy centers.
This can really be done in an instant,
And this connection,
Both with Mother Earth and with Source,
Is always available to you.
So repeat this to yourself a few times.
Either,
I am here now,
Or I live in the present moment.
As you repeat this sacred truth to yourself silently,
Feel a feeling of total peace and calm wash over you.
I am here now.
And as you feel how it feels to truly be in the present moment,
Begin to notice how your body is feeling.
Maybe areas of lightness,
Maybe areas that are feeling more heavy or numb,
Maybe there are areas of tension,
Becoming fully attuned to the sensations within the body in this present moment.
You are here.
You are present.
Just enjoy the stillness for a little bit longer.
By completing this meditation,
You've sought and found divine truth,
And surrendered yourself to divine will.
You've surrounded yourself in powerful,
Radiant love.
You've honored yourself by taking time out of your busy day to be here,
And you've honored others by feeling your connection to the world around you.
You're grounded in the present moment.
And as you start to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing movement back into the body,
Taking whatever stretches feel right,
Allow yourself to continue the rest of the day with this residual feeling of balance,
Of oneness.
Thank you.
