Today,
I want to share a self-love practice with you that I personally use to release criticism and judgment and move into a state of grace for myself.
I like to call it quick-snap compassion because it helps you to move very quickly from a state of judgment to compassion.
The truth is,
You are precious and so is your life.
Whether you believe it or not,
You deserve to spend your life in a state of grace with great love for yourself and all of life.
Moving with ease and joy,
Finding surprise and delight everywhere you go,
Loving who you are and loving your life.
The journey to greater self-love and love for others always begins in the present moment.
And it begins by being aware of what you're currently thinking and how that makes you feel.
And when you notice yourself thinking thoughts of judgment or negativity,
Choosing to shift by embracing a new thought and perspective.
The moment of choosing anew is where the change happens.
You begin to build new neural pathways and add metaphorical money into your self-love account.
And you do this every time you choose love over fear.
All it requires is your presence,
Awareness and a willingness to be new in this moment.
Quick-snap compassion is a tool that you can use in your daily life anytime you're experiencing a negative emotion or stress or tension or judgment.
But for this particular meditation,
We'll simply use it to activate greater compassion within yourself.
So wherever you are right now,
Begin to deepen your breath and allow your focus to move inwards.
Resting in your heart space.
Feel the presence of your heart.
Take a moment to acknowledge your aliveness,
Your presence.
Letting yourself simply be the living,
Breathing being that you are.
Inhale,
Pause and exhale with a sigh.
Resting in the stillness at the bottom.
Do that two more times at your own pace.
Now notice where you're at right now.
How do you feel?
What's your overall energy like?
Now I want you to explore your inner landscape and notice if there's any part of yourself,
Your body or your current state of mind or heart that you're resisting or withholding love from.
A part of yourself that you're not fully embracing.
A part of you you might have labeled as not enough.
And I want you to breathe into this place and silently or aloud speak the word compassion.
Letting the feeling of compassion for this place softly bloom in your heart.
Repeating the word as often and slowly as you need until you really feel it.
Let your whole being relax.
Release the past,
The future,
Any tension or judgment.
Simply let it go.
Drop it.
And open your mind and heart to the fullness and spaciousness of the present.
Breathe deeply as you bring a soft smile to your face here.
Continuing to hold this tender part of yourself in your heart.
Wrapping it in love and grace.
Take a nice deep breath here and allow yourself to simply be a presence of love and compassion.
Honoring and embracing all that you are.
Now if you'd like,
Repeat after me.
I am here,
I am now.
I am new in this moment.
I can choose compassion.
I can choose grace.
I can choose love.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Wonderful.
Slowly begin to come back into your body.
Wiggling your fingers and toes.
Simply opening up your eyes.
Taking another deep cleansing breath and exhaling with a big sigh.
I want you to know you are beautiful.
You are good.
You are whole.
You are worthy of your own kindness.
You are worthy of your own love.
You are deserving of a full and vibrant life.
And you are free to choose new in every moment.
If you'd like,
You can take a moment to bring your hands to your heart and send a silent blessing of thanksgiving to yourself for taking the time to love yourself through the act of meditation.
Maybe sending a blessing to someone you know who could use a little extra love right now.
And perhaps even sending a blessing of love and grace to a stranger.
Someone you don't know who could use a little bit of love and support right now.
Beautiful.
Thank you so much for being here with me today.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
