Jammusic In this meditation we'll focus on finding your inner calm,
Slowing down and settling the mind and body for peace and serenity.
Join me now as you take this time for you,
Right now.
Find a space and a place to make yourself comfortable and take some time out and let go of all your responsibilities,
Worries,
Your to-do list,
Anxiety and all the thoughts buzzing around in your mind.
Make this time now as your commitment to yourself and time to stop and find your inner calm.
Right now everything else can wait,
Just let go for this moment.
You are now the priority over anything and everything else.
As you settle in and make yourself comfortable where you cannot be disturbed,
Take a deep breath in and out,
Releasing tension as you exhale.
Let your arms and shoulders relax and just fall by your side,
Bring your lap naturally.
Take another deep breath in and out,
Letting go of any stress you're holding.
Relax your head and neck,
Let your shoulders drop and your legs relax where they rest.
Take a deep breath in,
Feeling the air enter through your nose and into your lungs.
Focus just on your breath and the sound of my voice.
Now when you exhale release any remaining tension you have.
Allow your breathing to return to a regular rhythm,
Continuing to focus on your breath in and out.
Give yourself a moment to just breathe.
Now imagine you're seated on a jetty by a beautiful crystal clear expansive lake surrounded by trees and birds.
The sun is shining and there's a gentle breeze that makes you feel alive.
You look out over the body of water and you notice that even though it is a lake,
There is movement in the water from the breeze and the sheer volume of the water.
You can hear the lapping of the ebb and flow of the water beneath the jetty and the birds chirping in the distance.
As you sit there on the jetty,
Breathe in the clean air and find yourself focused in the present moment.
Nothing else matters in this moment,
Just the lapping of the water and the chirping of the birds.
You close your eyes and savour in the moment and as you do you relax even deeper,
Becoming one with nature.
As you remain there in that present moment the gentle breeze eases and you can't hear the lapping of the water on the jetty like you could before.
You soon realise that the lake is a reflection of your mind and as you quiet your mind the lake becomes calm and still.
Even the breeze and the birds have become still and silent.
There on the jetty you gently open your eyes to see the breathtaking beauty of the lake in all its stillness,
Like reflective glass and the silence is wrapped around you.
You notice you can see your reflection in the water when it is this calm,
Which is impossible when the water was lapping at the jetty.
Just like the water your mind becomes clearer the more calm you are.
In this moment you are calm.
You are still.
You are silent.
Just like the lake.
Rest here in your calm.
You can return here to your calm anytime you like.
The lake is always waiting for you.
Simply come back here whenever you feel you need or want to.
Know and feel your calm is always yours.
Continue to breathe gently as you begin to regain awareness of your body.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes as you come back into the room.
Move your shoulders gently.
Take a deep breath and exhale.
Open your eyes.
Stretch your arms above your head and bring them back down and let your palms meet at your chest in prayer.
Namaste.
