This recording is the Ash tree - Fraxinus Excelsior. Ash is one of the UK's big trees and dominates many landscapes. Sadly the species is being ravaged by Ash Dieback disease. Some trees, like this one, are showing resistance to the disease and offering hope for our landscape.
