Afternoon,
It is Thursday,
March 30th,
2023.
And I'd like to take some time right now to step away from the computer,
Step away from what you're doing and tune inward for about five minutes.
As you settle down and ground yourself back into this present moment,
Maybe back into your afternoon,
Or maybe your morning,
Depending on where you are in the world.
I welcome you to the first meditation session I am ever recording.
And I'm so thankful and grateful that you are here to listen and receive and trust that the divine and universe is working for you and with you.
So settle in,
Finding yourself a comfortable seat.
You can even stay seated on your chair.
As long as you are maybe closing that computer screen,
Turning your phone upside down,
Trying to minimize the distractions here.
Start by taking a deep breath in through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth,
Letting it go.
Taking a big deep breath in through the nose,
Feel the chest rise and shoulders rise,
Exhale,
Letting it go.
Release any tension that maybe came before this and tuning inward,
Noticing how the body feels in this moment without judgment,
Just starting to scan the body.
Inhaling,
Bringing attention to the crown of the head,
Seeing if you can loosen around the eyes,
Around the forehead and the brow.
Inhale again through the nose,
Bringing air into that third eye space,
Even into the throat area.
Feel the coolness of the breath in the back of the throat.
As you're exhaling,
Maybe allowing that body to become a little heavier and softening,
Softening around the jaw,
Letting the tongue release from the roof of the mouth,
Breathing in through the nose,
Filling up,
Let the belly expand and exhale through the mouth.
Inhale,
Bringing some beautiful energy and awareness into the heart space.
Take a moment here,
See if you can tune inward.
Can you feel the vibration of your heartbeat?
Can you feel that beautiful life energy,
That prana moving through you?
Breathing in,
Exhale,
Letting it go.
Breathing in one more time to this beautiful heart space,
Your heart chakra,
Giving yourself a little compassion,
A little patience,
A little grace.
Inhale again,
Let the belly expand,
Breathing into that solar plexus,
That space right above the belly button in between the heart and the belly button.
Breathing in here,
Filling up,
Exhale,
Release.
As the mind wanders,
Gently bring it back to the breath or my voice as you journey through your chakras,
Energizing,
But also calming the nervous system as you're bringing awareness and deepening the inhales and exhales.
Breathing in one more time here,
Through the root chakra,
Up through the feet,
Through the legs,
Feeling it expand through the hips.
Exhale,
Release,
Become a little softer,
Become a little heavier.
Noticing where you feel any tension lingering.
Can you breathe into that space?
Exhaling,
Can you soften just a bit deeper?
Taking one full body scan from the feet all the way up through the legs,
Through the belly,
Into the heart,
Up through the chest and the throat,
Out of the crown of the head,
Out of the arms and fingertips.
Breathe in fully here and exhale,
Release,
Allowing these few minutes of calmness,
Attention on the body and breath to ground you,
To bring you back to this present moment,
Giving yourself a moment of gratitude here for taking the time to step away,
To re-energize and to find a bit more peace within.
