A practice for times when you feel you need some TLC. Or when you feel like nothing is missing and you'd like to save that feeling for later. Or just a 3-minute break in your day. Find your way to the place wherein everything is like it always has been.
Today I was thinking to share with you a very brief short practice that I myself go to in times when I feel or might feel that maybe I'm missing a little bit on a tender feeling like you know like being loved maybe or having the closeness that I need and I'm not getting in the moment and the beautiful thing with this practice is that it is available to everyone so if you're up for it join me in the next like two three minutes and you don't have to do this practice only when you feel like you're needy of something you can also do it to deepen good state or condition that you're in to maybe be able to recall that feeling that place in yourself when you will need it later because you will we all do so if you wish to find a comfortable place you can do this practice wherever but maybe to start with it's good to take a place where you can sit down or if you're walking it's not totally freezing maybe stop walking I just like walk much much much slower if you can then close your eyes very softly if you can't I don't want to you don't like it and it's okay to have your eyes open let me just direct your gaze to to the floor to the ground to the earth wherever you are take a few seconds to check in with your mind what's going on and also most importantly with your body what's in your thoughts what are you feeling are there any bodily sensations right now and then see if you can remember a moment when you connected to someone or something in your life that gave you this special deep feeling of like there's something more and it can be it can be a person of course it can be one of your parents or both parents can be your grandma or granddad can be a schoolmate it can also be an animal it could be your pet the cat you had when you were 11 and you remember you know that moment you were out in the fields with your dog and it just threw this piece of wood and there was this connection the dog bringing bringing the wood back to you but it could also be an inanimate object it could be a book that you were reading and you felt like wow this is it it can be a place you went to that you really loved like standing on the top of that mountain or being in the forest behind your house wherever you don't have to be searching because this feeling actually is not something that you need to force to happen these are moments feelings this is the place in yourself that opens up without any any attempt so just let it come open up for it if you can it might as well be that it will only only open up for like bit of a second or two seconds and then it will disappear what you can do then is you can either continue opening up waiting for that moment to come going back to that place to that person to that animal and see if there's more that wants to show itself right now or you can easily stop this exercise right now and just like go about your day because now you know that this place this feeling is there thank you and enjoy your day
