
Change Your Life Story Session 1
We all hold various stories about ourselves that we more or less believe. These narratives from the past have the power to define your present, thus creating ground for your future. In session 1 of 6 you will learn to observe quietly the story you’re sitting with right now.

Hello my fellow student of life and welcome to this course called What's Your Story?
And let me begin with saying thank you for choosing this course.
I'm eternally grateful for having the opportunity to look at our stories together with you.
I'm here to learn more about myself and the world just as you and you helped me on my way on my journey.
I will not go into too many details about the course structure or objectives because all of that is available in the course description.
So I will just start by saying that maybe we can together take a moment to unwind and to just check in with our bodies,
Our minds and see what it is that we are bringing into this first session.
So if it feels good for you,
I'd encourage you to find a place to sit down.
For a moment.
Or stand for that part if that feels better for you.
You might as well be listening to this course.
Walking depends on how experienced listener or meditator you are and of course whatever feels good for you just if you are outside both sitting or walking please make sure you're in a safe place.
You're not interfering with traffic so that listening and following this course is for your and all others benefit.
So if it feels good for you then why don't you start with releasing the grasp of thought from your mind,
From your head by maybe letting your mind just as a light feather in front of your eyes being drawn down towards the earth by the gravity very very slowly fly in the air from left to right and right to left.
Moving lower and lower so that it's descending in front of your nose,
In the height of your mouth,
Your throat,
Your chest and if you feel like your heart area is a good place for your attention your mind to settle for today let the feather of your mind land else you might allow it to continue on its way down towards your belly and then somewhere in the height of your belly button allow the feather the mind to land maybe landing softly on the skin of your belly moving up and down with your breath and from that feather from the very gentle touch ticklish touch between the feather and the skin of your belly.
You can allow your awareness to spread across the skin to all sides down towards your lower belly maybe even further down along with your legs and knees to your feet to the area in between your sexual organs and the back of your body to the sides around your waist on both sides both left and right covering your back up along with the front side of your body reaching your neck on its sides your throat the chin covering the whole of your face the scalp you might even feel this very gentle vibration caused by the feather that just landed in your belly in your hair and down along your arms towards your wrist palms of your hands the upper sides of your hands the nails maybe and then also embracing your body on the left and right side covering your back moving upwards along with your spine reaching back side of your head up towards the crown of your head.
Now that you're landing in your body awareness let me tell you that this course consists of six sessions of about 15 to 20 minutes.
All these sessions will be very practical based on direct experience.

I hope that you are still aware of your body and I'd like to invite you as good as you can to feel sensations in your body right now that in one way or another kind of call on your attention to it might be like a gentle itch somewhere maybe even a little bit of pain.
So as good as you can without being judgmental see what sensations are calling for your attention.
And see if that particular sensation or those particular sensations are telling you something.
Very often it will be that our body is trying to tell us something is carrying a story a narrative and very often this is going on subconsciously unconsciously that very often it can be that when you change your mind the reason for that was not that rational maybe but in the beginning of the chain of reactions that led to you changing your mind about something for example about what it is that you're going to do next actually comes from a physical sensation that very unconsciously sent you or your brain a signal to adjust the plans.
So if you can and if you feel a sensation in your body right now that is or are maybe even getting more and more prominent in your experience as you are getting deeper into your body awareness see if you can trace what story the sensations are telling you.
To give you an example I feel this itching in on the right part of my forehead close to the hairline which wouldn't be that strange I could easily scratch it a little bit and go on with my life but now that I'm sitting here being open to the messages that the body is sending me I'm actually able to see remember the story of the scar that I have on that spot on my forehead which actually is a scar caused by me lifting up my head very let's say abruptly about two months ago in the bathroom while the mirror front of the bathroom shelf was open and I forgot about that.
Maybe there is a similar type of story that your body is telling you through a sensation or a few sensations right now.
I'd like to encourage you to continue maybe as you go through your day to day to be a little bit more alert more attentive to your body sensations and the stories that are connected to your sensations and realizing what messages the sensations are sending to you and even now if you've come to identify listen to hear a story that is told by your body post it into the comments of this course session for us others to be able to see and get inspired.
During the next session we will have a look at how these stories that we carry in us that are being lifted up to our consciousness awareness through for example what is sensations or thoughts or memories or feelings how they actually through our experience in the moment create our future.
So if you feel like having a look at that I'll be happy to meet you in session number two.
