Hello and welcome to this very short practice that we'll keep under three minutes.
It's a practice on joy that you can take with you wherever you are,
Wherever you go,
In order to access the joy that is always present within you.
The practice is very simple.
Upon meeting another living being,
Be it a person or an animal,
You can just tell to yourself,
I rejoice in your presence.
I rejoice in your presence.
So let's say you're walking in the street and there is a passerby.
No one you really know.
Just upon noticing that that person is walking by,
You say to yourself silently,
I rejoice in your presence.
Very often we do not need more than acknowledging that someone else's presence is actually bringing us joy,
Making us feel happy.
There's no effort involved from you or the other person in order for you to access the source of joy.
You may as well want to practice with animals.
It's easily done with birds,
For example,
In the parks.
There's a huge availability of birds in many parts of the world.
So again,
Upon noticing there is a bird or a rabbit or a cat or a butterfly,
Whatever that might be,
You just say very gently to yourself,
I rejoice in your presence.
There are no expectations involved.
There are no demands.
You're simply rejoicing someone else's presence.
You're delighting in the fact that they are alive,
That they are there.
