This is a guided meditation to get more perspective on the logic of sufficiency. You are enough and if you are wanting a treat, you may have it but give that treat the thought it deserves before entering your body. Food does not drive us, it is just a vehicle we drive sometimes.

Hello beautiful and welcome.

Today's session,

We meditate on the logic of sufficiency.

So begin by finding a comfortable seated position or lie down flat on your back.

Tuning in by gently closing the eyes and taking three deep intentional breaths in through the nose and audibly exhale out the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale out the mouth.

Last time inhaling through the nose.

Exhaling out the mouth.

And as you feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into the state of relaxation,

I invite you to just settle in.

Closing the mouth,

Finding your own cadence of breath that resonates with you,

Sinking deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation.

As you find yourself starting to create this alignment between your mind,

Body and spirit,

Quieting down the outside distractions,

I invite you to reflect on the logic of sufficiency.

I recognize that there is often temptation in life.

However there is so much power in the logic of sufficiency.

So I invite you to gaze upon two paths in a road.

Looking at this road and the two diverging paths for a moment,

We can explore how either one of those paths will impact your journey.

I invite you now to gaze upon a path of balance,

Recognizing the power of being satisfied.

That to have balance within our treats is to truly enjoy life and embrace them.

To earn those treats with hard work and focus means that we are able to cherish those little indulgences that bring us joy.

Knowing and trusting when we have had enough and knowing when it is okay to say no.

To know that to say no can also be saying yes to something else.

To say no to X,

Y or Z can say yes to being on this path of balance.

To say no to something that does not serve us can say yes to something that does.

To say no to overindulgence is to say yes to balance and having empowerment over your food.

To say no to guilt and shame can say yes to compassion and grace.

Upon gazing now to the opposite road,

The road in which we turn one treat into a whole bag,

One treat meal into a whole weekend,

A trigger or switch is flipped where we feel that we have hit the point of no return.

When we fall so hard we throw in the towel and overindulge in the choices.

We know they won't serve us but we've gone too far.

Our system is overburdened,

We've made too many choices and now we feel there is no other choice than to just jump in with both feet.

We are triggered and left in a tornado of guilt,

Remorse and shame.

We regrettably look upon the other road and recognize the long walk back to get reconnected with that path we were on.

We are tempted just to stay here forever,

Wallowing in despair.

As they say there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

We are creating a situation when that beautiful goodness that we looked forward to,

That yummy treat that we earned ends up turning into being something detrimental,

A setback,

A negative experience.

We are triggered into that guilt,

That shame.

Now remember that the choice is ours,

That both paths exist all the time.

We know both paths because we have walked them before and knowledge is power.

So next time I invite you to choose the path that you know will serve you,

That the sustainable path to your goals,

A gradual income that is manageable and sustainable,

That you my dear have everything that it takes to accomplish this slow and steady road to success.

Remember the choice is yours.

You decide what your goals are.

You decide how you want to get there and how quickly you want the path to be.

You have the power to choose.

So choose sufficiency.

Relish in the feeling of being satiated,

For finding balance,

For knowing and trusting that state of empowerment,

To know where to draw the line between a well-deserved treat and an overindulgence.

Recognize that there is power insufficiency.

There is power in saying enough is enough and I am satisfied.

It is sufficient.

Looking forward to your next treat,

Knowing and planning ahead gives you that power.

And remember,

If you ever find yourself on that other path,

You have the power to always choose a different way.

Bringing your hands to our center,

Begin rubbing the palms together,

Creating that heat and light within.

Taking those palms,

Clasp them over your heart and gently tuck your chin.

And I invite you to think of three things in this moment that you are incredibly grateful for.

When you are ready,

Opening your eyes and taking this reminder with you throughout the day.

Have a beautiful day.

Excellent. I had a large lunch today and I'm not remotely hungry. Yet I still craved food its good to know I can take either path! I'm relaxed now Would be perfect if the music faded out a little more before the end gong
