Welcome to the sixth peace being.
In the heartbreak series.
Let's begin with step one.
Notice how you feel.
Take a moment to tune into yourself and feel whatever is present in you right now.
Are you holding any tension in your body that you can let melt away even if just for this moment?
Bring your attention to your toes and then your heels,
Ankles and slowly scan up through the rest of your body,
Noticing if there is any tension or areas of relaxation.
Step two.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Continue breathing normally,
But just start to notice the breath coming in and flowing out.
Begin to gently extend your breath.
With lots of ease,
Relax into your exhale.
Imagine your breath arriving into your body through your nose or mouth and flowing deep into your heart.
Keep this visualization of your breath flowing in and out of your heart.
Just stay here for a few moments,
Breathing.
Step three.
Activate.
The mind has us convinced that once everything outside of us falls into place,
We will find our peace.
But the heart whispers that the mind is missing the point.
There is very little in life that will satiate our longing before we can recognize the richness of simplicity.
At Peacebeam,
We often speak of the power of kindness,
Which can come in the form of a smile from a stranger,
A compliment from a friend,
The comfort of a beloved pet.
We can feel great anguish and paradise.
We can reject the affection of someone who shows us true love.
We can be blind to the beauty that surrounds us in this very minute.
All because we can continue on longing,
Searching,
And missing the simplicity,
The love that is to be found in ordinary things.
It is a beautiful thing to be committed to our inner peace and to feel the abundant love we are capable of showing ourselves and others.
It is a beautiful thing to feel the blessings in our life in this exact imperfect moment.
Each time we show ourselves this sort of kindness,
We build courage.
And little by little,
We build the courage to carry on,
To stay open to beauty,
To kindness,
And to love.
Step 4.
Peacebeam Imagine gathering in the love you feel for yourself,
All living beings,
And for this very moment.
Imagine beaming it out,
Beaming it out so powerfully that it touches the hearts of all beings.
Imagine going from this very moment and touching the heart of each person you meet with the incredible light and beauty of your very own courageous and prevailing heart.
