Welcome.
Welcome to Living from the Heart.
Today's meditation is on gratitude.
So let's begin.
Let's begin by taking a deep breath into gratitude.
As you exhale,
Let yourself settle.
Let the body relax.
Let yourself receive the lusciousness of each breath and be grateful.
If your eyes are not already closed,
Please allow them to close to rest.
Letting your lids become heavy and letting yourself drop down deep inside into this meditation on gratitude.
I invite you to breathe into gratitude as you listen to the sound of my voice and drop deeper into yourself.
I know that I'm grateful for silence and for knowing the empty yet full place inside of me.
Do you know this place?
Can you feel it?
It's alive.
It is inside of you.
Maybe you can feel it a little bit or a lot.
It doesn't really matter.
Simply be open,
Open and curious and listen,
Feel,
Breathe.
I find that when I turn my attention softly toward myself,
When I slowly pour the golden light of my awareness inside,
Letting it drip down like warm honey.
It coats my whole being with a profound sweetness and I relax.
It's tender sweetness,
As fresh as the skin on a newborn's palm.
So my friend,
Are you willing to be generous with yourself?
Give yourself this gift.
Turn the golden light of your awareness toward yourself.
You are worthy.
You are so worthy.
You are absolutely deserving of this resplendent golden love to breathe it in.
Receive.
Take your time.
You are deserving.
We are all deserving of love.
So let it in.
Let it in deeper and deeper.
And take a moment now to see if there's any part of you that is resisting this love.
If there is,
Smile.
Smile into it.
Let it know that you are here.
Love is here.
It can surrender.
You can surrender.
Notice if it's still holding on.
Perhaps it's holding fast to what might be a child's misunderstanding,
An idea that you are not worthy or not good enough.
So take a breath.
Gently releasing these old beliefs,
Beliefs that are the barrier between you and love.
Letting them release through the tips of your fingers or the soles of your feet.
Take your time.
Take your time,
My friend.
Be grateful for this opportunity to love yourself.
To experience yourself as sacred and worthy.
Sacred and worthy.
Breathe and receive.
Breathe.
Turn toward yourself.
Turn toward who you are.
You are not a barren land.
You are a glorious field of flowers blooming.
You are the wind under the red-tailed wings.
You are the soft earth after a good rain.
You are the smoothness of river stones.
You are all of this and more.
Breathe it in.
Breathe it in and be grateful.
Be grateful for the sweetness in knowing who you are.
You are all of this without trying,
Without efforting,
Without grasping,
Without posturing,
Without doing.
And what if you give up this old habit of wanting to be more of this or less of that?
My sweet friend,
It takes so much work and you have so much living to do.
So much,
So much living to do.
What if being who you are is enough?
What if you don't need to lift a finger,
Style your hair,
Shave your face or work out for hours?
What if you don't need to do that?
What if I were to share a secret with you?
You are already the jewel in the crown.
There's no issue with pooping or pumping.
Just remember who you are.
Remember who you are and be grateful.
Remember,
Sweet friend,
That you are the golden honey flowing.
You are the small insistent spring spout poking forth from beneath the ground.
You are the immensity of the ocean.
You are the twinkle of the infinite stars in the sky.
So,
When you look out and you see the beauty in the dance of the honeybee as it pollinates the flower,
When you turn and find yourself staring at the boldest,
Brightest pink and yellow sunset and your mouth drops open at the way the light reflects across the sky,
Know this.
Know that this is none other than your own self shining back at you.
So take a deep breath and let it in.
This is you.
This is who you are.
Perhaps for an instant,
Try to remember who you are.
Perhaps for an instant,
Drop any thoughts of separation.
Separation from the divine is painful.
What if for now you let it go?
Take a breath and let it go.
Rest here.
Take a moment to rest into your true nature and be grateful.
Surrender into it.
Take a moment to let go.
To rest into your true nature and be grateful.
Surrender into it.
Soften.
Soften into the space of pure being.
It's your birthright.
It's yours,
Mine,
Ours.
As human beings,
We came here for this.
Be grateful for a sacred moment of communion with your own heart.
Trust.
Trust that love has never wavered,
Not even for a second.
Even in your darkest hour,
When I too have walked through these dark hours,
We all have them.
We all have them.
Remember,
Love is a true friend.
So now,
Cozy up to love.
Tuck a warm blanket around you.
Rest.
Be thankful.
Take a full breath.
And be received by your own heart.
Let it nourish you.
Let it be a healing balm for every moment you fought lost or forsaken.
So let's pause here for a moment,
Dwelling within,
In the open space.
Open space.
Just feeling your own heart.
Luxuriate.
Now take a gentle breath.
Breathe in life.
Relax.
Be at ease.
Slowly opening your eyes.
Be grateful for this day.
I invite you to listen to this meditation for seven days in a row.
See what happens.
Life is a grand experiment.
And in my experience,
The more consistent I am with my practice,
The deeper the mystery reveals itself,
Sending blessings,
Blessings to you.
