Welcome to this video.
My name is Pablo Arellano.
And I've been doing music and meditation for a long time.
Today I want to talk about how to become the observer of thought.
So.
.
.
For this exercise,
We're going to use the mantra,
I am.
And I want you to imagine you're in a movie theater.
In this movie theater,
They're projecting.
Some movie.
And you're sitting there observing the characters of this movie.
And each character is going to be a thought,
A thought that you have.
So when you're watching a movie,
You.
.
.
You identify with some of the characters.
And you become,
In a certain way,
You become them.
And this is the idea of the exercise tool.
Distance ourselves.
From the character.
And become the I Am.
What doesn't change,
What is silence,
Stillness,
Bliss within you.
So many times we're in life maybe for example driving the car and somebody gets in the way.
And immediately we start certain patterns and beliefs.
That judge that person.
We get angry.
And our patterns start to create a chain of thoughts that it's sometimes difficult to move away from so The idea of this meditation exercise is to slowly become a quantity.
Of the process of thought.
So sometimes.
.
.
In this movie theater.
When we identify with a character,
We start living its sufferings,
We start living its problems.
In the same way,
We identify with our own thoughts.
And we start to relive certain things that created some suffering.
Or we start to judge,
Or we start to worry about the future.
So to break.
This pattern in the identification.
We need to have an instrument or.
.
.
Some technique.
And this technique is the IEM.
And this is what I've been using for a long time.
So when you bring the IM to your awareness,
Is a reminder of what you are,
What's your consciousness,
What you were.
What your true nature is.
Um.
.
.
A blissful state without any identification.
Before it becomes the ego.
It's.
.
.
The now expressing itself from within you.
With a coherent space of peace.
So I want you to.
.
.
Picture yourself watching this movie and when you say the I am,
You start to feel the resonance.
And in that resonance of the word,
I want you to rest.
Rest and breathe in the consciousness.
Of the state of the area.
So Sit down comfortably.
Breathe.
Breathe out.
And slowly start to introduce in your mind's eye Yeah,
Yeah.
Let the thoughts drift away.
Say in your mind's eye,
I am.
And let that resonance.
Make you go deeper within yourself.
Again,
You repeat in your mind's eye.
I am.
And you let that resonance invade every space of the now.
Let the thoughts drift away like clouds.
They're going away,
They're dissipating.
You're in the movie theater and you don't identify with the picture anymore.
You don't identify with any character.
You're just the observer.
You're the observer.
Of this moment,
Of this now.
Again you say I am.
You breathe and that resonation expands.
And expands and expands.
While you feel that now emancipating.
Growing.
I am.
In this now and this I am,
All the thoughts distance themselves and you stay still as an observer.
Observing that movie,
Observing that process.
Without any suffering and without any identification.
Open your eyes now.
And slowly.
Become aware.
Oh,
Who you are?
But with a new perspective.
And I invite you to do this exercise every 5-10 minutes of an hour.
With your eyes open or closed.
And 5 or 10 minutes before you go to bed.
This is going to help you so much in your growth.
And it's going to allow you to.
Um.
.
.
Start to understand with an experience.
What is to be an observer of thought.
Thank you for being in this space.
I send many,
Many blessings.
