So maybe taking a deep breath,
If that's helpful.
Letting your body find a comfortable posture.
Just inviting the process of coming to stillness.
So of course that starts with the body and it can sometimes be helpful to let the body move a little bit,
You know,
Let your shoulders or your head.
Let's find their orientation and space.
A sense of alignment in relation to gravity and the rest of the skeleton.
Beginning to let your awareness penetrate into the body.
You start to sense the muscles and tissues anywhere where there's tension.
I often become aware of my jaw,
The eyes,
The forehead,
And temples as a first place to check and see.
Can there be a little bit of letting go?
Relaxation or softening.
Lightly scanning your attention through the body to see if there's anywhere else.
That you could bring some relaxation.
Loosening.
Or even just a kind,
Gentle attention to.
And allowing this process of settling in the body to continue in the heart and the mind.
So just as we allow the body to move,
To adjust and come into alignment.
In the same way,
Just allowing the heart and the mind the space.
To move.
Different emotions,
Intentions,
Or thoughts.
Giving it space to unfold.
You know,
Everything's nature is to come into being and then to pass.
It's a certain kind of.
.
.
Opening.
.
.
Kind of blooming,
Unraveling,
And completion.
So we're.
.
.
Finding the conditions inside,
Supporting the conditions inside for that to happen.
This natural process of things unfolding,
Coming into consciousness,
Being felt and known.
And then being released,
Being liberated.
Put down,
Put to rest.
Of their own accord.
And so while this is a natural process,
It also sometimes benefits from some kind of support or holding.
So you just listen and see what's needed right now.
Is it a sense of.
.
.
Just open space.
A very kind of wide,
Hands-off approach.
Or perhaps a little bit more.
Firm structure support.
Sense of really connecting with the breath or the body.
Providing an anchor or a ground.
So the art of meditation is to learn how to use the forms to support a process that is inherently organic,
Natural,
And also a little bit wild.
It's a little bit like walking on an old stone wall.
Paddling a canoe down a river.
The sense of the landscape shifting.
Certain eddies or currents or bumps that we're in contact with.
We feel it and experience it.
And then make adjustments,
But they're subtle adjustments.
Adjustments that allow us to Relax into the flow of what's unfolding.
So an adjustment might be just a very slight correction to the posture that brings some more energy or clarity.
An adjustment might be.
Inviting some warmth or friendliness.
Certain gentle quality of holding.
Being held inside.
Sometimes an adjustment is as simple as widening the awareness and appreciating the landscape.
Just sensing the space.
The silence.
Or the stillness that's available in any moment.
As we move towards the end of our meditation,
Perhaps just taking a step back a little and Reflecting on if there's anything that's been useful or meaningful for you.
About this practice.
Anything you want to remember,
Integrate.
And then in your own time,
Bringing some movement into your body.
Allowing your eyes to open.
Coming back.
To the space where you are.
Thank you.
