This is the recording for the nature connection breathing space.
For this short practice start by finding a comfortable position,
Either sitting,
Lying down or standing up and letting your eyes close if you feel comfortable to do so.
Begin by tuning into the element of earth,
Feeling into your connection with the ground below.
The earth that is holding and supporting you.
Coming into the present moment and really invoking a sense of groundedness,
Of being here right now.
Next,
Tuning into the element of water,
Getting in touch with softness and flow.
Letting go of tension in the body,
Softening the muscles of the face,
Especially the forehead,
The eyes and the jaw.
Releasing the shoulders,
Softening the chest and the belly.
Next,
Tune into the element of fire,
The bright illuminating quality of the awareness.
Noticing feelings and emotions.
Noticing the kinds of stories in your mind.
Noticing how you're relating to your experience.
Waking up to what is here.
And then tuning into the element of air.
Sensing the rhythmic flow of your breath,
The air entering and leaving the body.
Letting the breath flow freely and smoothly.
If it feels right,
Slowing the breath down.
Letting it find a calming,
Comforting rhythm.
Perhaps a sense of the breath helping you to open up around whatever is here,
To give it space.
Letting go of any sense of fighting or resisting your feelings or the thoughts in your mind.
And instead giving it all space to be within the field of your kind awareness.
And then ending by affirming your connectedness with nature,
With the elements,
With the other beings and plants around you.
Affirming your place within the web of life of which you are a valued part.
And then seeing if it's possible to take this sense of connectedness and openness into the remaining moments of your day.
