This guided practice helps you to connect and reflect on happiness. It is hard to find what we can't clearly identify and sometimes we are pursuing the wrong things. It starts with a breath awareness practice that gradually brings you to consider what happiness really means.

Welcome to today's meditation.

We tend to search answers outside ourselves,

When in fact I would like to suggest that everything you need is already within.

All the answers,

All the resources are within.

It's really all about listening to ourselves and observing.

And this is what we are going to do today.

We are going to call a thought,

For example happiness today.

And with that thought in mind we will simply meditate.

It means that we are just going to call the word happiness.

And just simply observe without judging,

Without engaging,

Without putting a label or tags on the image or on the feeling and sensations that we might encounter.

We will simply let our mind drifting completely freely and observe what this word,

What this internal representation means to us.

So before we start this meditation I invite you to set an intention,

Maybe set an intention to observe without judging.

And find yourself a comfortable place to sit with your legs crossed and your spine back,

Neck and head erect.

And as we always do with meditation we start by observing our breath.

So simply notice your normal breathing pattern,

Your normal rhythm.

Notice how fast or slow it is.

Notice how deep or shallow it is.

And on your own time when you feel ready you can close your eyes and bring your attention fully and completely to the observation of your breath.

And I invite you now to take a deeper breath and imagine for a moment that your breath is going through the heart.

Imagine each inhale and each exhale going through your heart.

And I invite you now to think for a moment of the word happiness and everything it represents.

Just say the word to yourself a few times and then let it drift it,

Let it go,

Let your internal representation simply come to your mind without judging,

Without labeling,

Without engaging.

Sense,

Feel,

Notice,

Observe,

Just let them drift.

And as always with meditation if you catch yourself engaging with a thought simply bring your attention back.

Allow yourself to explore your mind,

To explore your internal representation of the word happiness.

You you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you and as we are about to bring this meditation to an end take a final note of where your thought brought you all the answers are within and sometimes you just take a bit of time to understand the meaning of our internal representation to understand what resources we need to use but we need to know that they are within as long as we keep exploring as long as we keep observing everything we need is within and I invite you now to go back to your normal breathing pattern and observe your breath reconnect with your breath and notice for a moment if your breathing pattern is in any way different and on your own time when you feel ready simply open your eyes and look around and bring your attention to an object the shape the color bring your full and complete attention to this thing thank you Thank you.

Guided only at the beginning and the end. It allows quiet, peaceful meditation with soft music and bird song in the background.
