
Energy Awareness Meditation
What is energy? You are more than just a sack of fluids and bones. You are enlivened by your life force or energy. To deepen your awareness of energy within yourself, practice this meditation regularly. Eckhart Tolle calls it "the inner body", tune in to tune up. Close your eyes and allow your breath to be deep and slow.
Let your intention for your breath to be deep and slow,
But also natural and smooth.
Tune into your body and notice what you feel.
Are you comfortable?
Are you relaxed?
Are you holding tension anywhere?
Tune into your feet and listen.
Notice what you feel in your feet.
If there's tension there,
Can you consciously practice letting it go?
Visualize a flower blooming at each soul opening,
Relaxing your feet.
Tune into your legs.
Notice what you feel in your legs,
Just listening.
Notice what you feel.
And if there's tension in your legs,
Consciously let it go.
Consciously relax.
Practice letting go of tension.
Tune into your hips.
Notice what you feel in your hips.
Listening.
And if there's tension in your hips,
Consciously let it go.
Practice relaxing your hips.
Consciously letting go.
Tune into your belly.
Notice what you feel in your belly.
Listening.
Consciously relax your belly.
Letting go.
Tune into your chest and heart.
Listening.
Notice what you feel in your chest and heart.
And if there's tension there,
Let it go.
Relax.
Perhaps visualize a flower blooming at your heart opening.
Tune into your neck.
Listening.
And notice what you feel in your neck.
And if there's tension there,
Consciously let it go.
Relax every cell,
Every fiber of your neck.
Tune into your face and head.
Listening.
Notice what you feel in your face and head.
Consciously relax your face and head.
Visualize a flower blooming between your eyebrows,
Opening,
Relaxing.
And tune into your back,
Your spine.
Listening.
Notice what you feel in your back and spine.
Consciously relax.
Give all of those muscles permission to relax.
Tune into your shoulders,
Arms,
And hands.
Just listening,
Notice what you feel in your shoulders,
Arms,
And hands.
Tuning in.
Consciously relax your shoulders,
Arms,
And hands.
Visualize a flower blooming in your palms,
Opening,
Softening your shoulders,
Arms,
And hands.
Still breathing deep and slow,
Tune into your entire body,
Head to toe.
Listening.
Notice what you feel.
And if there's still tension lingering in your body,
Consciously give yourself permission to relax.
Letting go of tension.
And now relax your mind.
Notice thoughts as it arises.
But let it go.
Keeping your focus anchored in this right now.
Just relax your mind.
Notice how safe you are in this now.
Consciously let go of thought about the past.
Consciously let go of thought about the future.
And notice that in this now,
You are safe.
Feel the gentle embrace of gravity cradling you perfectly.
Not too strong.
Not too weak.
You're perfectly cradled by gravity right now.
Feel how dependable this floor,
This ground is.
Feel how safe you are in this space right now.
Feel how nourished you are by the air in the room.
You might even notice that the air is full of love,
Nourishing your life with every breath.
Anchored in this now,
Your body is relaxed.
Your mind is relaxed.
This is a wonderful healing space that you've created for yourself.
Now you can go a little deeper and tune in to the energy,
The life force that enlivens your being.
The energy that beats your heart.
That moves your blood.
That allows your eyes to see,
Your palate to taste.
You may feel it at first in your fingertips as a gentle tingling and aliveness.
It's measurable,
It's energy.
As you give this energy,
This life force,
Your attention,
Your awareness of it increases and it increases.
I'm going to drop you in now,
Just breathing for a little while,
Letting go of your body,
Your face for a little while,
Letting go of your name,
Letting go of your mind for a little while,
Existing just as what you feel in this moment now.
Giving all of your focus,
Your attention to this vibrating aliveness,
This energy.
Don't worry if you don't feel much.
It's a practice.
Allow it to unfold with practice.
Allow it to deepen.
Nothing else to do right now.
Just breathing.
Just listening.
If thoughts arise,
Notice them and let them go.
You are the sky and the thoughts are just clouds.
Let them pass through.
Shift your focus now to the energy in your belly area.
Listening for that energy in your belly.
Just listening.
Just listening,
Notice what you feel.
And if you feel heaviness,
If you feel stagnant energy,
Know that energy wants to move.
Let it fly away,
Back to the source,
Back to the light to be transformed,
Recycled into something new.
That energy wants to flow.
Let it go.
Feel it and let it go.
Just for a few breaths,
Listening like you would listen to a little child who's upset,
Who has something to tell you,
Just listening to that energy in your belly,
Allowing it to be what it is and allowing the heaviness to go.
You might visualize or feel a wheel of light turning in your belly.
Allow it to turn,
Moving alive.
Shift your focus now to your heart energy,
That area all around your heart.
Just listening,
Notice what you feel.
Listening like you would listen to a little child who has something to tell you,
Some feeling to share.
Just listening.
Allow it to be what it is.
Giving it all of your attention.
If you sense heaviness there or pain,
Stagnant energy,
Let it go.
It wants to leave your body.
It's just energy.
Allow the stagnation,
This heaviness to flow.
Feel it,
See it,
Visualize it flowing back to the source to be recycled,
Transformed into something new.
It's not good or bad.
It's just energy.
Let it go.
Let it flow.
See or feel a wheel of light,
A sphere of light swirling,
Spinning in your heart area,
Moving,
Flowing alive.
Shift your focus now to the area between your eyebrows,
Behind your eyes.
You can call it your third eye.
You might call it the Ajna Chakra.
You might call it the upper Dantian.
It's just a part of yourself and energy.
Give it all of your focus now,
Listening like you would listen to a little child with openness,
With curiosity,
With tenderness,
With gentleness,
Just listening.
Just what you sense.
Feel it.
And consciously let it go.
It's just energy.
It wants to leave,
Wants to be renewed,
Recycled,
Reused by the source.
Let it go.
You don't have to do anything.
You just have to open up to let it go.
Release.
The rest is natural.
Just listening,
Feeling and letting go.
Just let it go.

And consciously let it go.
It wants to leave,

Feel or visualize a swirling wheel of light.
A sphere of energy.
At your third eye area.
Moving,
Flowing.
And now shift your focus to the crown of your energetic body just above your head.
Visualize a beautiful golden light there.
The light of a thousand suns.
So vibrant.
So bright.
And yet gentle.
Calm,
Soothing.
Nourishing.
Life giving.
And allow this light to pour down the front of your body and being like a warm honey soothing.
Clearing,
Relaxing,
Calming.
From your head all the way through your neck,
Chest,
Belly,
Hips,
Legs.
Through the front of your feet.
Allow this same beautiful golden light to pour down over the back of your being,
Your body.
The back of your head,
Neck.
Your upper back,
Middle back,
Lower back,
Hips.
The back of your legs.
And through the soles of your feet.
Clearing,
Soothing,
Nourishing,
Calming,
Relaxing.
And the same golden light pours like a warm honey down over both ears,
The sides of your neck,
Upper back,
Shoulders.
Through your arms.
And out through your palms.
Soothing,
Calming,
Nourishing.
Healing every cell of your being.
And now this same light,
This beautiful golden light pours over your entire being.
Soothing,
Healing,
Calming,
Nourishing.
Every fiber of your being.
Body,
Mind,
And spirit.
Calm.
When you're ready.
You may open your eyes or you may stay in this space for as long as you choose.
