Hello and welcome to this meditation.
Now before we start I just want you to make sure that you've had a good old wriggle,
That you're sitting or lying nice and comfortably and everything is just right for you to really just enjoy and take some time to become.
Now all you have to do is listen to my voice and your imagination will paint the picture in your mind so that you can live and see this world with me.
Ah I'm forgetting something.
Also we need to breathe so how about we practice this first.
So breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And again breathing in and breathing out.
Now just try this on your own at the moment so just very gently breathing in and breathing out.
Feeling your body rise and fall.
If you get distracted or confused all I ask you to do is just remember and bring your thoughts back to breathing in and breathing out.
Now if you think you've got that and you're nice and comfy we will begin.
So breathing in and breathing out gently in your own time.
We're going to use our imaginations together.
So it's a nice hot summer's day and you've been walking for quite a while and at last you've found the river.
The cool gentle river.
You can see dragonflies and butterflies all buzzing around its banks.
You can hear the hum and the zzz of the insects.
You can hear the splish splash splosh of the fishes as they jump and play in the water.
Beside the river is a nice comfy bit of grass.
You decide to take a moment to lie down and rest.
You close your eyes and you can hear all the sounds of the river around you.
And you're breathing in and you're breathing out and you can feel all that life around and the sun is shining its warm rays upon you and you just feel so calm and it's so nice just to take a rest in this beautiful place.
So as we're breathing in and breathing out down by the river you become aware of this feeling that we have about our bodies as if it's covered,
As if it's made up of hundreds and hundreds of flowers all tightly budded which means that they've yet to open.
Those gorgeous flowers have yet to release and show themselves.
We know that they'd love a bit of sunshine and they'd soak it right in.
So as we're still breathing in and out we're just going to open those flowers.
We feel them gently open in our hands and our fingers.
Hundreds and hundreds of swan flowers of all different colours.
We feel those flowers open up around and our shoulders and our back and the flowers on our faces and our head and our stomachs and our chests and our bums and our legs and our knees and our ankles and our toes until all we can see and feel is our bodies as if we're made of all those little flowers.
And as they open you can feel them take the sun's warmth in.
They absolutely love it and you can feel that warmth and that energy on your skin and in your body and as you're breathing in nice and calmly we're just going to feel all of that lovely warmth flow into us.
So if you're breathing in and breathing out all I want you to think about is just you down by the river with all of your flowers open just soaking in some of that energy.
Now I'm going to sound the bowl which is just for you just to breathe in and breathe out on your own for a minute So still breathing in and breathing out and just really imagining that you're right there down by the river with all your flowers open soaking in all of that glorious sunshine.
Now just like plants take the sun in to help them grow all of our flowers have too and we're just going to breathe in and breathe out and follow me and just let some of that energy help grow and work its way into our bodies and help us feel good and light and relax.
So breathing in and out.
In and out.
In and out.
Breathing in and out.
In and out.
Really let all the air go out of you like a balloon.
You're feeling pretty good now pretty relaxed and full to the brim of sunshine.
So if you're ready I just want you to imagine that you're getting up and where you were sat down by the river and you're walking back back back back to where you are now sat or lying down meditating.
Feeling like your body is full of sunshine and energy.
Now before we open our eyes and come back to the room we're just going to offer a little thanks.
Just say thank you to you.
Thank you for how you feel and thank you for how lovely you really are.
I hope you enjoyed this one and if you want to talk about anything with the grown ups that are around you please do because you might help them understand it better as well.
Okay I'll see you again.
Bye.
