Following any form of treatment or therapy, conventional or otherwise, we can sometimes experience new and interesting sensations as we get used to being "in the body" of ourselves in a more expanded, integrated or perhaps even vulnerable state. This meditation offers space and guidance on how to feel into your being through the breath - and establish and deepen a calm connection to yourself on all layers.

Hello and welcome to this meditation.

This meditation is designed to help you make the most of your treatment,

Whether it be a massage,

A Reiki treatment or conventional counseling.

Sometimes it can be beneficial to take a little bit of space for ourselves,

To allow all that we've felt,

All that we've released,

All the new patterns that we've welcomed,

Just a little time to integrate and work their magic into our minds,

Into our bodies and into our lives and day to day.

So if you're sitting or lying comfortably,

I'd just welcome you to take that first deep breath in and just let it go.

Breathing in and letting go.

Just allow your breath to find a rhythm that's comfortable for you.

Try not to worry that you're doing it right or wrong,

But just draw that breath deep down into your stomach,

Letting it fill up and letting it go.

Feel the bed or what you're lying on push up against you.

If you've got your feet on the floor,

Just feel the floor pushing up against your feet and just breathe in again and breathe out.

Gently become aware of how your body feels.

Each breath out just stepping back,

Stepping back like you're sinking into whatever you're sat or lying on.

Just let it hold you there.

Just gently witness any feelings that you have in your body,

Any thoughts that you have in your mind or any emotions that might have come a bit closer to the surface after your treatment.

And as you breathe in just become aware of the space around your body,

Like you're cocooned in an egg.

Breathe into that space around you and breathe out.

Gently just allow a sense of how everything is kind of just working out,

Moving to where it needs to go.

And as you breathe in,

Feel that gentle tide rise and that gentle tide fall again.

Rising and falling again.

Just coming to the middle of your chest,

Just taking a deep breath in like you're breathing in a golden light,

Feeling that glow fill your chest with warmth.

Breathing out letting go of a thick black smoke.

Breathing in that golden light and warmth.

Breathing out letting go of that thick black smoke,

Any heaviness,

Any denseness that the treatment has just allowed to come to the surface.

Just take this time for you just to process and just to allow it to pass.

Back in the safety of your own space as you are now.

That physical space and that space within you just giving yourself a chance to reflect and just work out on a deeper level what that experience meant for you.

What it was there to show you,

To guide you to.

And as you breathe in again just say this to yourself.

Like throwing a pebble upon a still pond,

Feel its ripple.

Like it's singing out to every part of you,

Every corner,

Every inch,

Every cell just saying I am safe.

And just going with it and saying it again a little bolder,

A little braver.

I am safe.

And if you feel a release physically or emotionally don't fight it,

Just let it come in its own time as you say again.

I am safe.

And just on your own,

Just notice subtly the effect of that,

That invitation just to be you.

For a couple of minutes just breathing in deeply.

Breathing out and letting go.

And just let it come in its own time as you say again.

And just let it come in its own time as you say again.

And just let it come in its own time as you say again.

And just let it come in its own time as you say again.

Now still breathing in,

Breathing out.

Come back to that place in the middle of your chest and let's begin to focus and celebrate that feeling of well-being,

That smile within you that might only be a glimpse at the moment if you had a pretty big and heavy session letting go of some deep attention emotionally or physically.

Just try and find that place in your chest.

Find that smile within you,

That innocent smile like when somebody says or touches you,

Not just on a surface level but a deep level.

Feel your chest lift,

Feel that glow begin to radiate through you.

Breathe into it.

Letting go of any tension in between your shoulder blades and the back of your neck.

Breathe into that glow and let it move through you like it's shining down into your core,

Into your stomach,

Like liquid gold down into your hips,

Down your thighs,

Past your knees,

Washing right to the ends and tips of your toes,

Crashing back up,

Back up your legs,

Back up your thighs,

Into your lower back,

Up your spine,

Into your ribs,

Into your chest,

Pouring out across your shoulders,

Down your arms,

Past your elbows,

Into the palms of your hands and the tips of your fingers.

Feel that smile as it washes back up your hands,

Back up your arms,

Into your shoulders and breathe in deeply,

Letting it flow up through your neck,

Into your head,

Calming your mind,

Out the top of the head and just let it shower down around you.

Letting that sense of well-being wash within you and around you as you breathe into your body and that space around.

And let go.

For the next couple of minutes just let that smile,

Let that sense of relaxation and well-being just sing and amplify through you.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

And as we come to the end now,

Just welcome you to allow something to come to you like a ping of inspiration,

Something that you can do after this meditation or in the rest of your day just to further nourish yourself.

It could be taking a bath,

It could be as simple as reaching for a glass of water.

Just focus on doing that now for yourself and almost see a thread from you now to you doing this thing to nourish and support yourself.

Breathe in and believe that you can,

That you deserve and that you're worth it.

That being you is just enough right here,

Right now,

Always and forever.

Take your time coming to in your own way and don't doubt how powerful it is when we turn that tide.

We do positive things to look after ourselves.

Breathing in,

Breathing out and coming to in your own time,

Maybe wriggling your fingers,

Wriggling your toes and opening your eyes when you're ready,

Taking that sense of calm with you.

And just for a moment giving yourself some thanks for being brave,

For taking time for you and letting that self-love flow into the rest of your day,

Your week,

Your month,

Your year and your life.

Take it easy,

Take it lightly and as always you're at your most beautiful when you're just being you.

See you again and bye for now.

You

My spark of inspiration was to share with you how grateful I am for this wonderful support. How deeply shamanically healing this has been. Im going through what I can only describe as dark night of the soul/ a form of awakening and I ve felt so suported by this transmission on a very hard day.. Thank you. I will come back to this and will explore your other work. I love how gently you've invited us to experience self-love for ourselves through feeling a smile from another person's behavior deeply touching us. That was beautifully and gently sneaky and my ego totally got fooled and hence got out of the way! If I was told straight away to get into self love, I dont think I would have felt it as quickly. You are wonderful. Thank you x

Worth adding the time for this into my treatment scheduling Thank you First enjoyed listening after a particularly hard psychotherapy session. Will be adding after my sessions on a regular basis + after Pain Management support group and Journaling for Wellness work group. So much work, insight, and development taking place in these sessions , it is worth taking the additional time out of the day to integrate as you so eloquently say.

I love this practice as a reminder to actively bring myself to a place of mental and emotional safety after a healing session has left me feeling vulnerable, and to go forward taking tender good care of myself. Thank you!

As usual, Oliver is on point on this meditation. His voice, the break between talking and letting us be, the time and his kindness always make me calm down. Thanks again.

A really good connection with this one after coaching and acupuncture today. The first time I've felt a safe connection with a smile. Thank you.
