Hello and welcome to this two-day course that will help you lovingly embrace and heal your body from the inside out.
My name is Awana and I'm so honored to help you connect with a deep sense of appreciation for your beautiful self.
Thank you for joining me on this soothing healing journey.
Today on day one you will tap into an enormous sense of gratitude and love for every inch of your body.
And on day two you will channel healing energy wherever it needs to go.
You will be amazed at how much two simple yet profound sessions can do.
Your positive intentions and willingness to show up for yourself will go a long way.
So you ready?
Let's kick off by getting grounded.
Take a position that is comfy.
Whether that be seated or laying,
Just ensure your spine is straight.
Rest your hands gently either on your lap or by your sides for now.
And when you feel called,
Close your eyes.
Connect to the gentle pull of gravity as your body relaxes into the ground beneath you.
Sense the full support of whatever you happen to be sitting or laying on.
Melt into it.
Beautiful.
Now redirect your attention to your breathing.
Take several long slow breaths.
Breathing in deeply,
Fill your body up with air.
Hold it up there for a brief pause and exhaling slowly and completely.
Breathing in deeply,
Hold it for a brief pause then let it go.
Notice the sensations of your breath as it flows in and out of your nostrils.
Follow it closely as it makes its way in through your nose,
Pauses,
And then flows right back out.
Notice the subtle rise and fall of your chest.
Notice the rise and fall of your abdomen.
Ask yourself,
How can I breathe in a way that will bring me into more peace and calm?
You know what is best for you.
Follow your inner wisdom.
Ask yourself,
How can I breathe in a way that brings me into fuller presence?
Listen inward and do so.
Feel yourself getting ever more calmer and ever more relaxed with each passing breath.
We will now transition into a gentle caressing full body massage,
Starting at the very top of your head,
Making your way down through each body part.
As we move south,
You will give praise for each part and the important role it plays in your life.
If you'd like to open your eyes for this practice,
By all means do so,
But keeping them closed is perfectly alright too.
After all,
Some things are best seen through the heart which we will connect through gratitude.
Do whatever feels right to you.
Personally,
I like to keep my eyes closed for this practice,
As it avoids distractions and helps me to go deeper,
But completely up to you.
Trust that you are doing it right.
Let's begin by placing both of your hands on either side of your head.
Begin to massage your scalp in a way that feels good to you.
You may like to move your fingers in a circular motion,
Round and round,
As you make your way up and down your skull,
Perhaps using your fingertips to caress your temples.
There's no right or wrong way of massaging.
You can stroke,
Tap,
Knead,
Use a few fingers,
Your palm or your whole hands.
This is completely up to you.
Follow your intuition and find what feels good,
Switching up your massage technique whenever you need to.
As you massage,
Give thanks for your head and your brain that gives you consciousness and enables you to think,
Learn,
Remember and make decisions.
It manages your emotions,
Helping you experience joy,
Love,
Empathy and a plethora of other feelings.
It also empowers you to cope with stress and the many challenges that come your way.
Breathing deeply,
Tap into the area and release any tension you may find there.
Your brain also processes information from your senses,
Sight,
Sound,
Touch,
Taste and smell,
Letting you experience and interact with everything in and around you.
Wow,
So much to give thanks for.
Silently repeat to yourself,
Thank you head,
Silently repeat to yourself,
Thank you head,
Thank you brain,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you for all that you do for me.
I love you.
Now softly caressing your face as if a lover adoring you.
Give thanks for your eyes that help you to see this beautiful world.
Your nose that helps you smell it,
Your mouth that helps you taste it,
Your lips which kiss it.
Silently repeat,
Thank you eyes,
Thank you nose,
Thank you mouth,
Thank you lips.
I love and appreciate you all so very much.
Begin to slowly make your way down to your neck and bend your shoulders.
Apply as much pressure as is needed,
Not too much,
Not too little,
Just right.
You may want to rub your hands up and down your neck and shoulders like a masseuse would do.
Again,
Tune in and follow what feels good to you.
Breathing deeply,
Keep going.
As you do this,
Give thanks for your neck and shoulders.
They provide you with crucial support and enable a wide range of movements,
Empowering you to turn your head,
Lift objects and perform your daily activities with ease.
Really be aware of your shoulders.
They often carry so much tension that can feel like the weight of the world at times.
Take a moment to lift your shoulders up,
Up to your ears as high as you can,
Holding them right there,
A little bit more,
Fully experiencing the awkward strain and release them,
Letting them drop and be heavy.
Enjoy the relief of letting go as a result of the polarity between tension and release.
Bask here.
Care for your shoulders through your tender touch.
Silently repeat,
Thank you shoulders.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
I love you.
Focusing on your arms,
Hands,
Palms and fingers that help you lift,
Embrace,
Sense,
Hold and so much more.
Show them all some affection for a few deep,
Delicious breaths.
Silently repeat to yourself,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
I love you.
As you massage up and down each arm and into your hands and fingers.
Lovingly hold yourself.
Moving onto your chest,
Take a moment to cup your hands on your heart space and feel gratitude pouring out from there,
Spilling out onto the rest of your body.
Your heart is the powerhouse that pumps blood throughout your whole body,
Delivering oxygen and nutrients to all your cells and organs.
This continuous function is critical for keeping you alive.
Without it,
You wouldn't be here.
Passionately caress this space.
Your heart works so hard for you.
Not only that,
It helps you experience life more fully through your powerful emotions.
Can you imagine not being able to feel anything?
Feeling is what truly makes us human.
Be grateful for your loving heart,
All the times it got broken,
Yet it still went on to love,
Or at least try to.
The resiliency it has is so incredible.
Silently,
Thank you my heart,
Thank you for loving.
Thank you for trying to love,
Even when it's hard.
Thank you for being who you are.
Thank you,
Thank you,
I love you so much.
Next,
Drop into your belly,
Stroking it gently and kindly.
Negative emotions may surface for this part of you.
Far too many of us don't like our stomachs,
Wishing it was flatter or more toned.
What silly thoughts when you truly consider all it does for us.
You came from a belly that had to stretch and grow to fit you as a mere microscopic embryo,
Evolving into a fetus,
Then baby.
Bellies are not something to be ashamed of.
They are absolutely miraculous.
Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
No ads,
No social media,
No friends,
No society,
No people.
Your belly houses your stomach and intestines,
Which are absolutely crucial for digesting food and absorbing nutrients.
Then it converts those nutrients into energy that fuels your entire body.
Your perfect stomach contains a diverse microbiome of beneficial bacteria that aid in digestion,
Support your immune system and contribute to your overall health.
The muscles in your abdomen provide core strength and stability,
Supporting your spine and helping you maintain good posture and balance.
Moreover,
This area is the center of healing and intuition,
Helping you connect with your innermost self and understand your body's needs.
Go ahead and connect with it now.
Cuffing both your hands on your stomach,
What is it your gut wants to tell you?
Ask it,
My dear gut,
What is it you need right now?
Ask it,
What is it I need to know?
Is there something I've been avoiding?
Something I need to pay attention to?
What do I need to take action on?
Is there a boundary I need to set?
What is it?
Listen in this open,
Receptive state as you soothe it with your caring touch.
Silently repeat,
Thank you,
My precious belly,
For all your support.
I'm so sorry if I've ever been harsh or critical of you.
I will be easier on you and learn to love you more,
Just as you are,
Because you do so much for me.
I promise I will try and love you more and more.
Thank you,
My wise gut,
For your insight.
I will tune in and listen more to your wisdom.
More importantly,
I will follow your guidance.
I promise,
I trust you,
And I love you,
I love you so,
So much.
Deep,
Generous breaths in and out.
Deep,
Generous breaths in and out.
As you keep moving down to your hips,
Oh wow,
Do they ever do so much for you that you may not even be consciously aware of.
From providing a stable base for your body,
To supporting your weight and maintaining balance while standing,
Walking and running,
Show them some love through your intuitive,
Healing touch.
Thank them kindly for giving you stability and overall strength.
Thank them for helping you dance,
Lose control and shake it.
Thank you,
Hips.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
I love you.
On to your upper legs and thighs.
If you need to shift your posture to comfortably get to them,
Go ahead and do so.
Softly stroking them up and down,
Down and up,
And even from behind.
Why is it you are grateful for your legs?
What wonderful places have they taken you to?
Recall one of your favorite places.
Bring yourself there in your mind's eye as you massage.
Enjoy being there again.
Oh,
The amazing power of your mind.
What about your kneecaps?
Focus your tender rub there.
Your knees enable you to walk,
Run,
Jump and move.
Thank you,
Knees.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
I love you.
Transitioning to the lower part of your legs,
Your calves and your shins.
Give them some gratitude.
Thank you,
Calves.
Thank you,
Shins.
I love you.
On to your ankles,
Which help you maintain your balance and stability.
They assist in absorbing the impact of activities like walking and running,
Protecting your feet,
Knees,
And hips from excessive stress,
Which help you maintain your balance and stability.
Silently say your thank yous as you massage all around them.
Thank you,
Ankles.
Thank you for all that you do for me.
I love you.
Last but not least,
Your feet and toes.
Who doesn't love a good foot massage?
Treat yourself to one now.
Oh,
The amazing power of your feet and toes.
Thank your feet for keeping you,
Well,
On your feet,
For moving you around,
Your toes for keeping you balanced.
Thank you,
My feet.
Thank you,
My toes.
You do so much for me.
As you wrap up your full body massage,
Take both of your hands and cross them over one another,
Your left hand resting on your right shoulder and your right hand resting on your left shoulder.
Now,
Take a deep breath in and out as you breathe in and out.
Take a deep breath in and out as you breathe in and out.
Now,
Take a deep breath in and out as you breathe in and out.
Now,
Take a deep breath in and out as you breathe in and out.
Give yourself a big hug with a good squeeze.
Revel in how amazing it feels to give appreciation for your miraculous human vessel that serves you each and every single moment of every day.
Step into this full body appreciation for a moment.
Be here now.
Passionately affirm,
I love my body.
I love my body.
Really dig into those words.
Integrate them into your very core.
I love my body.
Dispelling any thoughts or feelings to the contrary.
Affirm,
Thank you,
My body.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Embracing gratitude for these often overlooked parts of your body enhances your appreciation for the intricate ways in which your body supports and sustains you.
You may feel some heavy emotions coming up at the sad realization of just how much you beat up on your body for not measuring up to societal or your own standards,
When in fact it serves you and is so superb in so many ways.
Offer up some compassion to yourself.
Be with any emotions that happen to surface,
Positive or otherwise.
Welcome them all.
The tears,
The sadness,
The guilt,
The shame,
The hope,
The strength,
The love,
The happiness,
The pride in your incredible vessel.
Tighten your hug right up.
Fully embrace yourself as a mother embraces her beloved newborn,
Seeing her baby as absolute perfection.
You're absolutely perfect too,
You know,
At any stage in life.
Yes,
Flaws and all.
You just need to recognize this.
Step into your perfection.
Repeat,
I'm sorry for ever being hard on you body.
I am so sorry.
I will do my best to love and appreciate you moving forward.
Say anything else you would like to your precious body in this safe cradle.
Begin to tap the index finger of each of your hands one by one on your shoulders,
The index finger being your pointer or second finger.
So tap your left pointer finger once,
Then your right,
Switching back and forth as you repeat the following affirmations,
Integrating the words fully into your very core.
Allow these words to become your truth.
Affirm my body is a temple of strength and vitality.
I am so grateful for my body's resilience.
I cherish and respect my body for all it allows me to do.
I am at peace with and within my body,
Honoring its unique shape and abilities.
Keep tapping your index finger left then right at a pace that is soothing for you.
Repeat,
I celebrate my body's beauty both inside and out.
I am grateful for my body's ability to heal itself.
Every cell in my body radiates with health and well-being.
I treat my body with kindness,
Nourishing it with healthy choices and self-care.
I trust my body's wisdom.
I listen and follow my body's signals with compassion.
We've come to the end of our practice.
Take one last moment to connect to a deep sense of gratitude for taking the time to prioritize yourself today.
I am so very proud of you,
And I hope you are too,
And I trust that you will continue to do so.
To love yourself and your body more,
Because you both deserve it.
Anything to the contrary is ridiculous.
Let's transition out together.
Begin to deepen your breath and bring awareness back to your surroundings.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out,
As you breathe in and breathe out.
Let's transition out together.
Begin to deepen your breath and bring awareness back to your surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers,
Then your toes,
And slowly open your eyes if you've had them closed.
Thank you so much for joining me.
It was my absolute pleasure to guide you.
Please let me know how your massage went,
And what healing or insights took place.
I always love hearing from you.
Tomorrow you will learn to harness your own powerful energy to channel it wherever it is needed most.
It is one not to miss.
So,
I will see your beautiful self then.
Blessings to you.
