Welcome to Whispers of the Heart Guided Meditations.
I'm your host and guide Noriko Tanigawa.
There are moments after a social experience when we feel drained,
Quietly longing to retreat and return to our own space.
Even when the interaction was meaningful,
Even when it went well,
We may still feel the need to step back,
To recharge and to reset.
We may notice the mind replaying conversations,
Wondering how we showed up or holding on to small moments we can't quite release.
And the nervous system,
After being open and engaged,
May still be gently unwinding from it all.
This meditation is a space to come back to ourselves,
A safe and rejuvenating space to fully unwind and begin recharging our physical,
Mental,
Emotional and spiritual energy.
And if anything from the experience is asking for deeper refraction,
This is a space where we can gently allow it to surface and be seen.
For now,
We release what we've been holding.
We soften the body and allow the nervous system to return to a more restful state so that we can reconnect with our own energy,
Our own rhythm and the quiet steadiness within us.
In this practice,
We'll gently process and let go of lingering tension,
Ground back into the body and begin restoring a sense of calm and inner spaciousness.
This is a time to simply unwind,
To take the space we need and to return to ourselves.
So find a comfortable position,
Let the body begin to soften and allow the breath to slow in its own time.
This is recharging your social battery,
A nervous system reset.
When we are ready,
We'll begin.
Find a comfortable seat or lie down.
You might want to move your body for a bit to see what feels comfortable to you.
It doesn't have to be spine straight or in any particular position.
You might want to just lie down on your back like Shavasana position or you might want to go on the side,
Curl up in that fetal position or just sit back and lean your back against the wall or cushion or backrest,
Whatever calls to you in this moment.
Allow your body to settle.
And if you need some moment,
Feel free to pause this meditation and feel free to pause this meditation to gather what makes you comfortable,
Your favorite blanket,
Favorite pillow,
Anything you need.
And now I want you to settle into whatever the position you chose and feel the gravity supporting you,
Feeling like you're cradled in this gravity.
I often imagine big hands of the universe beneath me supporting me.
And I'm just allowing weight of my body and weight of everything that feels heavy to be supported.
And now let's take a deep breath in and out three times together.
Let's take another deep breath in and breath out.
And one more time,
Let's take a deep breath in and let it all out.
Breath out.
Allow your breath to return to normal.
And just witness your breath coming in and out.
I want you to feel this peacefulness you feel in this moment of calmness.
There's not much going on and you're just allowing to return to yourself.
Allowing your body to recharge.
And if you're tuning into today's meditation,
You most likely have had some kind of social event that may have made you feel drained.
And it's very common among us introverts and empath and energy sensitive folks like us that we just feel done and drained after a certain length of social interactions.
And there's nothing wrong with us.
It's just that we recharge differently than some other people.
Extrovert people can recharge their body through social interactions.
And for us introverts,
We recharge our body in solitude,
A home,
And just getting back to being you.
So let's take this moment to just get back to ourselves.
And even if you are extrovert,
Sometimes social interaction can weigh on you heavy depending on how it went.
So we can create this safe space to refract on everything that happened during that event.
So just like when our cell phone is low battery,
We can plug it in to recharge our phone,
We're gonna do the same thing to ourselves.
We're gonna recharge our battery.
So I want you to feel the floor with your hands.
Open your palm and touch the floor.
And whether you're on the ground floor or not,
I want you to feel your palm of your hand as the access point to the Mother Earth energy.
So just like we plug in our phone to the charger,
Consider your palm as a plug.
I want you to feel the energy coming in.
And then I want you to expand that awareness to the rest of your body.
So whichever parts of your body that is touching the floor,
I to look at it as the access point to this Mother Earth energy.
You don't need to force your breath in any way,
You just allow your breath to naturally come in and out.
And just feel the slight buzzing.
Where you feel the sensation of your body touching the floor.
And imagine this is just your way of recharging your whole entire body.
If this feels good and you want to change your position,
Maybe you're sitting up now,
But you wanna lie down to feel the sensation all along your back and you head,
Feel free.
Just move around a bit to really feel this sensation of you connecting with this Mother Earth energy.
You're allowing yourself to recharge all your batteries,
The batteries of your physical body,
Mental body,
Emotional body,
And your spiritual body.
Now we'll give you some moment to really connect with this sensation.
Just pay attention to how your body feels.
I'm gonna give you some moment.
Okay,
So how do you feel now?
Do you feel a little bit more mellow perhaps?
A little bit lighter?
Maybe your whole body feels buzzing with this Mother Earth energy sensations.
And now let's spend some time holding space for everything that happened during your last social event.
And if you're like me,
After having any interaction or conversations,
I tend to replay what happened,
Sometimes over and over in my head.
And it's good to have this safe space to unpack everything.
Because if we felt something,
There's a reason for it.
And if you allow this investigation to happen sooner,
Then you'll be able to gain the lessons from the interactions a little bit sooner instead of trying to hold on to that interaction without resolving it.
So I want you to just scan what happened,
Your version of this whole experience.
And I'm sure you had some great time,
Not so great time,
Somewhere in between.
Or some of you may have had extreme good time or extreme bad time.
Whatever it is,
Just let it come to the surface.
Just feel out what you felt.
And we are going to get in touch with our intuition.
And as you scan the conversations,
The way someone says something,
The way you said something or where you felt in that moment,
You might have one or two incidents or comments that sticks out.
You may not be able to put your finger on it.
It just sticks out like a sore thumb.
And I want you to just let them be.
And just continue scanning all that happened here.
And whenever you have some of these comments or the way someone reacted or behaved that is sticking out like a sore thumb,
There is a reason for it.
It's just your intuition asking you to pay attention to them.
It doesn't necessarily mean anything good or bad.
This usually means that there is something for us to learn.
And typically for me,
When I make a mental note of some of those things,
Something will clarify later that makes me bring up those incidents again.
And that will help me understand better about the situation or that person or the way I associate with the people or my viewpoint about the world.
So I take it as the lessons.
And for now,
There's really nothing you have to do with these.
I just want you to scan and observe and anything that sticks out in the interaction,
I want you to just put it on the different shelves in your brain so that you are aware of it.
And know that all the knowledge,
Understanding and awareness,
They all come in its own time.
When we are ready,
The knowledge will unfold of its own.
We don't need to force it.
We don't need to speed anything up.
And at least this way,
If you bring your awareness to it and allow them to unfold on its own,
You can also move on with these social interactions and start living your life,
Right?
You don't have to replay that scene over and over,
So you can just let it go.
And trust that whatever you meant to know,
It will come.
I want you to keep feeding your body.
Wherever it makes contact with the floor,
You're soaking up this strong Mother Earth energy.
Your batteries are being recharged as we speak.
And in this moment,
You don't need to do anything.
If you're tired,
Allow yourself to feel tired.
And if you felt uncomfortable during that social interaction in any way,
Form or matter,
Just allow those discomfort to surface.
And it's okay.
Allow the emotion to move through your body.
Don't try to hide it.
If you're feeling this,
The energy is moving out of your body.
There's no reason to hold on to something that made you feel uncomfortable,
Right?
So let it move out.
And whatever you felt,
Especially if you felt uncomfortable during this social interaction that you had,
Reassure yourself that you are loved,
No matter what you said,
How you reacted.
You are loved.
And know that whatever you've been doing,
You were doing the best you can in that moment.
And that is good enough.
And if someone said or did something that was hurtful or made you uncomfortable,
You can let that go by understanding that they were doing their best.
In that moment,
With everything that they knew and with everything that they knew how to in that moment,
With whatever that awareness or understanding that may have been lacking in that moment,
They were doing their best.
And that will let them off the hook.
And you can also let yourself off the hook by understanding that being the receiving end of this,
You can remove yourself by not engaging with that energy.
And no matter what anybody said or may have done to you,
You are loved.
And you are enough.
And you have so much value that you bring to this world.
No matter what anybody says or no matter what anybody make you feel.
And if there's something that you didn't like,
Use this as an opportunity to understand your preference.
And if that's something that you really didn't like,
You can use this opportunity as a moment to set up your boundaries.
There's no reason for you to put up with something that you didn't enjoy.
It's okay.
We are all here to learn what it means to be ourselves,
To express ourselves fully,
And to live our lives fully.
Because regardless of what we believe about,
What happens after our death and some other beliefs about our lives,
I think all theory points to the fact that whatever the life we are living as us,
With this very particular identity that we have,
There's only one of us.
And this moment that we are spending,
This very moment of knowing,
Now never repeats itself.
That makes now very special and poignant.
So don't waste it in doing something that would make you unhappy,
Unpleasant.
Do something to make you feel really happy.
Think of ways to express yourself fully.
Think of something that you can do to be super creative.
And use this moment to get back to ourselves.
So how do you feel now?
Do you feel your body a little bit more at ease?
Maybe you feel a little bit more energized?
Let's take a deep breath in and out to seal in this energy.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And breath out.
I want you to feel whatever the sensation you are feeling in your body.
If you are feeling some sort of buzzing,
Tingling sensations,
That means your cells are being activated,
Invigorating with life and unconditional love.
And we are going to slowly get back to our physical realm,
So that we can move on with the rest of our day.
But if you're not quite ready to get back yet,
That's totally okay too.
So you can just stay exactly where you are if you're not quite ready to move yet.
But if you're ready,
Let's wiggle our toes and fingers,
Rotate our wrists and ankles,
Shake your head yes and no.
And slowly,
Whenever you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Welcome back.
I hope you feel a little bit more refreshed.
And you feel your body feeling more recharged.
And while you're resting and recharging your body,
Make sure you're drinking a lot of water to just help cleanse our body,
To let go of toxins and tiredness out of your body.
And that refers to not just physical tiredness or toxins,
But also emotional and spiritual toxins.
And this is important,
Especially if you felt that the social interactions that you had was not very present.
You need to let go of those energies.
And one of the best ways,
Best and easy way,
Is to just drink a lot of water and let go.
I hope this practice was helpful.
And feel free to come back to this practice.
This is good,
Not just for tiredness after the social interactions,
But also for just a general burnout.
It's always good to recharge our body and use this as a way to really nourish ourselves.
And feel free to share this meditation with anyone who might need a moment of calm and recharge.
I hope you're feeling better.
Take it easy for the rest of today.
Thank you for joining me on this healing journey.
I'm sending you all my love and support as always.
I love you all.
Thank you for listening.
And I'll see you next time.
