It’s weird to hear this said out loud because as you said, there is this common belief that we are selfish if we put ourselves first (not talking about ego). I also aprreciated the referral to those family related dynamics (with parents). I’d like to share this with a friend I’m sure she will be inspired as well. Thank you.

Thank you! In this season of my life I had to learn the hard way to put myself first and not feel guilty for doing so. Burdens have been lifted because I am no longer trying to carry others burdens. It feels great and getting better.

I used to believe that if the people I care the most about were ok that I would be ok too. I understand now that by own happiness is number one. This has opened by life in so many ways. Thank you for this talk that reinforces this inportant perspective.

Very helpful to touch into the worthiness story. Avoiding relationship so I don’t have to look at the feelings of inadequacy and unsteadiness that come up. Can I feel confident enough in myself that I don’t latch on to the affection and attention that someone gives me? Can I accept it in a healthy and loving way that does not have attachment, but rather unconditional love and mutual comfort and connection without demands or fantasy of what we yearn for, but instead enjoy the moment and freedom of it without expectation, neediness? Thank you, it prompted some helpful insights into my patterns. ✨🙏

I have done a lot of counseling and have had a hard time accepting and believing that I am worthy of love and belonging and connection just because I exist. I thought I understood it intellectually but couldn't believe it with my heart. This talk helped me make sense of it finally. Thank you for breaking this down logically.

Thank you for this! It’s so helpful to realize it’s my own thoughts that are creating this loneliness. I have a difficult time with holidays; it’s the 4th of July today and I’ve convinced myself that everyone but me is at a fabulous party. Imagine that. This is all totally fabricated in my own mind. Now, I feel grounded and okay. Peace!
