Hello and welcome to this second episode of the Universe Podcast for 2021.
So today is the New Moon,
13th of January,
And I want to make today's episode all about seeding intentions for this month and also for the year because we're in January and it's the first New Moon of the year.
It's a really good time to set your intentions and work out what it is that you'd like to experience in the next month and in the next year.
So just join me here,
Take a few easy slow breaths to relax.
So just starting to pay attention to your in-breath and your out-breath,
Your in-breath and your out-breath and just noticing if you're breathing deep or shallow,
Noticing your heart,
Noticing your feet on the ground,
If you're walking,
Noticing your steps,
Noticing your sit bones on a chair if you're sitting.
So if you're not ready to relax and do this intention setting right now,
You may want to press pause and come back later when you are ready.
So I like to set intentions for feeling states that I would like to experience over the coming month and over the coming year and I generally find that if I focus first on my feeling state,
Then I can get clarity on the action steps that I need to take in order to manifest or experience these feeling states over the coming period.
So just reflecting on some of the feeling states that you would like to create,
Bring into being for yourself or enhance perhaps you're already living in these feeling states but perhaps you want to enhance them over the coming month and the coming year.
So that might be a state of grace,
Feeling that you're in the flow and aligned with the universe and with all that is.
Might be a state of feeling state of equanimity,
Balance,
Changing what you can change and letting go of what you can't change.
Might be more moments of joy,
Might be bringing in more moments of peace in your day.
Just reflecting for yourself what you'd like this to be.
Knowing that we are the creators of our life and whether we do it intentionally or unintentionally,
We are creating a lot of our experience through our inner feelings.
So why not take this opportunity to intentionally create,
Intentionally seed the seeds for expansive,
Loving,
Grace,
Full feeling states over the coming year.
You might want to take a moment just to write these down in your diary on your journal.
You might want to focus on three feeling states.
And then you might need to identify any current feelings that might be blocking the flow of these desired feeling states and that you might need to let go of.
And that letting go might be a process,
It might be something to do in order to let go,
Might be someone to speak to,
Might be an action to take.
So states that we probably want to let go of are feelings of resentment,
Any feelings of guilt or shame,
Any feelings of being stuck in the past.
So writing down also any feeling states that you need to let go of in order to open to the expansive,
Uplifting,
Life enhancing,
Life affirming feeling states over the next month and year.
Bringing the focus back to the breath,
In breath,
Out breath,
In breath,
Out breath.
And then setting an intention if it feels right for you today on a life area that you'd like to be the focus for you this year.
So it might be creating abundance and prosperity on all levels.
It might be you want to focus on creativity,
Becoming more creative in all spheres of your life.
It might be relationships,
Developing deeper and more harmonious relationships.
It might be your work,
Deepening your connection to work or jumping into a new work.
It might be your family,
Sphere of family,
Immediate family or extended family.
Of course it doesn't have to be just one area.
If it feels right for you,
You may want to focus on two or three.
And again write these down.
So the new moon is a really powerful and potent time for seeding our intentions,
For planting the seeds of the feelings and experiences that we want to have over the next month and the next year because this is the January new moon.
The full moon is a time of reaping,
Harvesting the seeds that we planted in the new moon.
So your feeling state may even be an aspiration for emptiness,
For more space in your life,
More space in your inner self and in your outer life,
More openness,
More pauses.
And then coming into our third step of this practice which is action steps.
What action steps do we need to take to plant these feelings that we're wanting to plant and then grow them into the different experiences and achievements that we want to experience and achieve.
So again writing down these action steps is our third part of the intention setting practice.
It might be three or four steps,
Might be ten steps,
Whatever feels right for you.
Remembering that we are interdependent co-creators of our lives with all of the beautiful beings that we share the world with and that's such an important part of this work is asking for help when we need it and being prepared to receive either a yes or a no and being happily happy to move on and asking someone else if we receive a no.
Knowing that the right person will appear as long as we have faith,
Trust and confidence in ourselves.
Knowing that there is a higher force that is in charge of everything,
Universal consciousness,
Prana,
Shakti,
Chi,
Whatever you want to call it and we are working together with this higher force.
Coming back to the breath,
In breath,
Out breath,
In breath,
Out breath.
Feeling in again to your sitting bones if you're sitting,
Feeling the contact points of the chair or the floor.
Feeling the contact between your feet and the floor.
Relaxing the shoulders,
Relaxing the head,
Relaxing the heart center and slowly bringing this intention setting short session to a close.
