Hello,
This is Stefania.
Today let's talk about gratitude in our Wisdom Bits talk for today.
And we also close with an affirmation about gratitude.
I was having a look at a book by Rhonda Byrne called The Power.
She talks about different keys to positivity,
Good energy in our life.
One of the keys is the key of gratitude.
She says,
Every time you feel grateful you are giving love.
Be grateful for everything you have received in your life,
In the past.
Be grateful for everything you are receiving in your life,
In the present.
Be grateful for what you want in your life as though you have received it.
Future.
Your gratitude will multiply everything in your life.
Gratitude is the bridge from negative feelings to harnessing the force of love.
To use the power of gratitude,
Practice it.
When anything good happens to you in your day,
Give thanks.
It doesn't matter how small it is.
Say thank you.
The more you feel gratitude,
The more love you give.
And the more love you give,
The more you receive.
And the last point she mentions is every spare second is an opportunity to be grateful and multiply the things you love.
What do you think about that?
Suppose you're having a lousy day and you think there's nothing to be grateful in this day.
This day is a total waste.
Is it really?
Sometimes we just know in the moment,
Yay,
I'm grateful.
But sometimes there has to be a little bit of time to pass.
Like,
You know,
One day,
Couple of hours,
You can look back and there's a point of gratitude in there.
I had a big problem working on the website.
Between you and me,
It brought me to tears.
But anyhow,
You look back on it and what's the point of gratitude?
I figured it out.
I did it.
Not by my own brain,
But I,
You know,
Did some searches on the web and found out you can do this thing.
And then I tested it.
I thought,
Well,
It worked for audio though.
I tested it.
Bam.
It worked.
All good.
So sometimes,
You know,
You might think,
Oh,
This is a total waste.
But then you look back on it,
You can give yourself a little gold star.
A,
You persevered.
B,
You found a solution.
You searched for help and you found a solution.
There's always a point of gratitude somewhere in most situations.
There's something good.
Sometimes we have to look really hard,
But there's something good every situation.
Today,
Let's find something good in our day that we can write down,
That we're grateful for.
Sometimes we can find three things.
Sometimes if you find one thing,
If you do it consistently,
It'll be a very good thing for you,
For your mind,
For your spirit,
For your outlook on life.
You start looking for that one good thing in the situations.
And there's a quote here from Albert Einstein,
The scientist,
The Nobel Prize winning physicist.
He said,
A hundred times every day,
I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men,
I'll add women,
Living and dead,
And that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.
Albert Einstein made gratitude a daily part of his life,
Not only finding one good thing a day,
He found a hundred.
Gratitude is the great multiplier.
When we're grateful,
Even for the tiniest things,
We receive more good.
What are you grateful for today?
What are you grateful for that happened yesterday?
How do you visualize your tomorrow?
What's in there that you can be grateful for?
And gratitude can be not only things for you,
But good things for others.
You're grateful for good things for other people in your life as well.
Spread it around.
Our affirmation.
I am grateful for every good thing that has ever happened to me.
I'm grateful for the challenges too,
Because they taught me something either about myself,
About others relating to people,
Loving myself.
Gratitude is power.
I am grateful to have this power in my life,
And I practice gratitude every single day,
And so it is.
Until next time.
