
Your Happy Place: How To Reset Inner Peace, Happiness, And Joy
This guided practice is designed to help you reset in times of stress or triggering and to empower yourself to live in a consistent state of inner peace, happiness, and joy. Practicing this meditation as often as you’d like, or any time that you feel stressed, anxious, worried, or insecure, can help you to quickly reset and trigger the relaxation response so that you come back to the present moment and consciously choose your next experience from a place of relaxation.

Your happy place meditation.
This meditation is designed to help you relax more and reset when you're feeling anxious,
Stressed or worried.
So let's begin.
Find a comfortable place where you can either sit or lay down.
Once you're comfortable with your eyes still open,
Find something to focus on,
Something to look at.
Either on a wall,
On the ceiling,
An object.
And once you've found it,
With a soft gaze,
Focus on this spot,
This dot,
This object.
And while you focus on it,
Intend to relax your whole body.
Relaxing your eyes and the muscles around your eyes.
Relaxing your forehead,
Your temples,
Relaxing your ears,
Your jaw,
Your mouth.
Relaxing your neck and your shoulders.
Relaxing your chest,
Your abdomen.
Relaxing your back.
Relaxing the area of the sacrum,
Your pelvic floor.
Relaxing your arms,
Your hands,
Your fingers,
Your legs,
Your feet,
Your toes.
Relaxing completely from the top of your head all the way down to your toes.
And letting your eyes gently close.
As you relax even deeper.
Now whatever comes up as you continue this process of rotating your awareness from body part to body part to relax it,
To let go of tension,
Of stress,
Of contraction,
Simply allow it to come to the surface and release from your consciousness.
Imagine or feel,
Sense that the thoughts,
The emotions,
The tension that you feel in your physical body takes the form of bubbles.
And that it gently moves up and out of your body,
Of your consciousness,
Out of your field.
As you continue to relax more and more,
More and more of the content that is usually in your field of consciousness continues to clear to release.
Your body continues to expand and open relaxing more and more.
And you find yourself becoming aware of more and more in the field all around you.
Surrendering to the field.
Surrendering to the present moment.
No longer identified with your body,
Your mind,
Your emotions,
Your thoughts,
Who you've been or have believed yourself to be.
And finding yourself in the deepest state of relaxation,
Simply because you're choosing to let go,
To surrender.
As you continue to expand into this feeling of surrender,
Of openness,
You relax more and more.
And in this state of deep,
Deep relaxation,
Let a memory of a happy moment,
A happy place come into your consciousness.
And remember,
This moment,
This place,
You become even more relaxed.
Your body softens even more.
And you'll smile on your face,
Feeling your heart opening as you smile,
As you relax.
More and more.
Now as you revisit this happy moment,
This happy place,
Maybe it is not a memory of your own,
Maybe it's a place that you've read about in a book or seen in a documentary or a movie,
Maybe it's a place that you like to imagine or that you're creating from scratch right now.
No matter where it originates from,
Just let yourself be in that place,
In that space,
Completely.
Noticing how your body responds,
Being in that place.
Replacing the softening of your muscles and the depth of relaxation in your entire body.
Maybe you see the place that you're in and you explore it through your eyes.
Looking at all of the details,
The colors,
Maybe animals or trees,
Plants,
Flowers.
Maybe you're by the ocean or in a forest.
Wherever you are,
It doesn't matter,
Simply enjoying,
Relaxing,
Surrendering in your happy place.
And whether you see or you simply feel your happy place,
It's also not important.
What is important is that you allow yourself to have this experience of complete relaxation,
Surrender in this place where you're perfectly safe,
Completely loved and cared for,
Happy,
Joyful.
Understanding all of the emotions that this brings up,
How you feel when you're in your happy place.
And feeling it throughout your entire body,
Into each and every cell of your being,
Absorbing,
Whatever emotion you feel right now.
And as you continue to soak in the feelings of bliss,
Of happiness,
Of joy,
Of awe,
Of wonder,
Gratitude,
Unconditional love.
Whatever it is that you're feeling in your happy place right now,
Let yourself also become aware of other aspects of the experience.
Maybe you become aware of sounds in your happy place,
Maybe the sound of birds singing.
The sounds of waves crashing on the shore.
The wind through the leaves of a tree.
The sound of relaxing music.
The sound of your footsteps going through a forest.
The sound of children laughing.
Or the sound of your heartbeat so relaxed,
So peaceful.
Whatever sound you become aware of in your happy place,
Let it take you deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Enjoying,
Receiving this moment of bliss.
And integrating it into each and every cell of your being.
Maybe even the scents.
Exotic smells.
Summer smells.
A smell of flowers or fruit.
Beautiful smells and perfumes.
A smell of the ocean.
A smell of humidity and rain in the leaves on the ground,
In the grass.
Whatever smell comes into your awareness,
Pleasant smell in your happy place.
Let yourself enjoy having this experience and integrate this experience into each and every cell of your being.
Seeing,
Hearing,
Smelling.
And Exactly.
And maybe tasting some tasty food or dessert or simply water,
Pure water,
Refreshing water on a hot day.
Integrating this experience of tasting something delicious,
Something refreshing,
Sweet.
Feeling your heart open even more through this experience.
As you continue to open yourself up in your happy place to beautiful and relaxing sights,
Sounds,
Smells,
Tastes.
And in this happy place maybe you also feel through the sense of touch some pleasant feeling sensations on your body,
Through your fingers touching soft fabrics or skin,
Water,
Maybe the earth running through your fingers.
And also integrating this experience into each and every cell of your being.
Taking you deeper and deeper into relaxation and well-being,
A sense of deep joy and happiness.
And you're feeling so comfortable in your happy place,
So peaceful,
So relaxed.
Remembering that this place,
Your happy place is always available to you.
It lives inside of you and whether it's generated by memories or experiences,
Through books or movies or anything else,
Your imagination,
Are you creating it in the present moment,
It doesn't matter,
It is yours.
It is yours to create,
To refine,
To experience anytime you choose to.
And so in this happy place imagine all of the things that you can do,
All of the things that you can achieve and see or feel,
Experience yourself doing whatever you're doing or not doing anything at all.
Simply being,
Being yourself in this very moment,
Recreating yourself in each moment in this happy place,
Continuously refining your process of relaxation,
Of happiness and of joy.
Imagining or feeling how your body moves,
How your body feels,
Tuning into your mind,
Your emotions,
How calm and quiet you are,
How fulfilled you feel.
Being so caring,
So kind,
So compassionate to yourself by choosing to visit your happy place anytime you want to.
Remembering that this happy place is always available to you,
Within your body,
Your emotions,
Your mind,
Simply because you choose to visit it,
To create it,
To experience it,
Simply because you choose to live in a creative,
Open,
Receptive,
Happy state,
Simply because you choose to see your own value,
Your deservedness and you open yourself to receive this experience,
To recreate it over and over again each time,
Refining your process of happiness,
Of relaxation,
Of joy,
Moving ever deeper into the core of your being through this experience.
And realizing that in this happy place,
Everything is possible,
Any prior limitation in your consciousness is cleared,
Healed,
Released.
And in this happy place,
All solutions to all prior problems and perceived challenges are also available to you.
In this happy place,
You find yourself in synchronicity,
In alignment.
Things flow easily into your realm of consciousness and experience.
Moving your body is easy,
It feels good,
Your thoughts are pleasant or your mind is quiet.
And you feel a deep sense of gratitude for your happy place and for yourself taking yourself here,
In your happy place for creating it,
Imagining it,
Remembering it.
Grateful for choosing happiness,
For choosing relaxation and inner peace.
And grateful for this realization that this option is always available to you,
Regardless of the external circumstances,
Situations or events around you.
And bringing in this happy place harmony and balance to your relationships,
To abundance,
Health,
To your self-image,
How you experience yourself,
To the space that you live in,
To the space that you work in,
To the places where you travel,
Within and outside of yourself,
To the planet,
To the universe.
And so bringing this level of inner peace,
Balance and harmony to all aspects of yourself and of your life.
And coming back to the present moment,
A new moment that you've created through the process of inner alchemy within yourself,
Generating elevated emotions of joy,
Of happiness,
Of gratitude,
Awe.
And bringing all of that back into the present moment,
Into the space that you're in,
Into the time that you're in,
Into your body,
Into your mind and your emotions,
Into each and every one of your relationships,
Into your abundance,
Your health,
Into your life.
And in this deep state of relaxation,
Well-being,
Balance and harmony,
You can begin to deepen your breath,
Bringing all of this energy into the present moment.
And when you're ready,
You can gently and lovingly open your eyes.
