Hello lovely people,
It's Nisha from Joyful Living.
I hope you're well today.
Feels like autumn has hit now in the London area of the UK.
Yeah,
Rainy day.
So today's yoga nidra is going to be around decision making as I've got something going on in my personal life and I thought this would be quite an apt one to do around making a decision and trusting your inner knowing.
So I would like you to get really,
Really comfortable where you can lie down and completely relax.
Allow your body to be supported by the ground beneath you.
You might like to place a cushion underneath your head.
Perhaps one underneath your knee.
And cover yourself with a blanket.
So that you're nice and warm and comfortable.
And once you're settled.
Allow your eyes to gently close down.
And take a slow,
Deep breath in.
.
.
And breathe out slowly.
Again,
Nice deep breath in.
And breathe out slowly.
Again,
Breathing in and breathing out.
There is nowhere you need to be right now.
Nothing you need to achieve.
Nothing you need to work out.
For these next few minutes,
Simply allow yourself to be.
Feel the weight of your body against the surface beneath you.
Feel the back of your head.
Your shoulders.
Your arms.
Your back.
Your power.
Your life.
Your heels.
Allow yourself to become aware of the support beneath you.
You don't have to hold yourself up.
The ground is holding you.
And let your body become heavy.
With every exhalation.
Allow yourself to soften a little more.
Soften the muscles around your eyes.
Let your jaw relax.
Let your tongue rest.
Soften your shoulders.
Relax your hand.
Relax your belly.
And allow your whole body to become still.
For now,
There is nothing to decide.
You can put the decision down.
Just for a few moments.
And allow yourself to step away from the thoughts.
The questions,
The opinions.
The possibilities.
And simply be here.
Bring your awareness gently to your heart.
And silently make your intention,
Your sankalpa.
I allow clarity to arise naturally.
I allow clarity to arise naturally.
Or anything else.
That seems fit.
Repeat it in your mind.
Three times.
You don't need to force anything.
You can simply create the space for your own inner knowledge to be heard.
And now let go of the intention.
There is nothing else you need to do.
Now let's calm and relax and bring awareness to each part of the body.
Starting on the right side.
Your right hand thumb.
First finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger,
Little finger.
Palm of the hand.
Back of the hand.
Breath.
Forearm.
Lower arm.
Au revoir.
Upper arm.
Shoulder.
Right side of the chest.
The waist.
Bye.
Knee call.
Ankle.
The heel.
Sole of the foot.
Top of the foot.
Right big toe.
Second time.
Little time.
The whole right side of your body is relaxed.
The whole right side.
Relax.
Now bring awareness to the left,
The left side.
Left town.
The thumb.
Second finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger,
Little finger palm of the hands.
Back of the hand.
Breath.
Lower arm.
Owlboy Upper arm.
Shoulder.
Left side of the chest.
Left waist.
Thigh.
Car.
And cool.
Heel.
Sole of the foot.
Top of the foot.
Laugh big time.
Second time.
The total.
The whole left side of your body.
Relaxing and bringing awareness to the whole left side of the body.
Now to the back of the head.
Back of the neck.
Right shoulder blade,
Left shoulder blade.
The whole of your body.
The lower back.
The pelvis.
The back of both legs.
Both heels.
Now the front of the body.
The forehead.
The space between the eyebrows.
The eyes.
The cheat.
The nose.
Death right.
The chest.
The heart.
The upper abdomen.
The ballet.
The pelvis.
The whole front of the body.
Become aware of your whole body.
Your whole body.
Lying hair.
Whole and complete.
There is no need to move.
No need to change anything.
Now bring awareness now.
To your natural breath.
Don't change it.
Simply notice.
Feel the breath entering the body.
And leaving the body.
Notice the gentle movement of your body as you breathe.
Rising as you inhale.
Falling as you exhale.
Imagine that each exhalation is releasing mental noise.
The questions,
The analysing.
The wondering.
The water.
The need to know.
Let it all soften with the breath.
You may notice that underneath all the thinking,
There is something quieter.
A deeper sense of knowing.
You don't need to search for it.
Simply create the space for it.
Now imagine the feeling of certainty.
For a few moments,
Experience what certainty feels like in your body.
Perhaps it feels warm.
Perhaps expansive.
Perhaps calm.
Perhaps you notice nothing at all.
There is no right experience.
Now imagine the feeling of uncertainty.
Notice how uncertainty feels.
Perhaps there is tension.
Perhaps movement.
Perhaps excitement.
Perhaps fair.
Simply observe.
And now allow both experiences to exist.
Certainty Uncertainty You don't need to choose between them.
Simply notice and then let it dissolve.
Returning to stillness.
Now gently bring to mind the decision that you were considering.
You don't need to analyse it.
Simply allow the situation to appear in your awareness.
Perhaps there are two possible paths,
Two choices,
Two directions.
Don't judge either one.
Don't decide yet.
Just observe.
Imagine yourself standing at a quiet crossroads.
In front of you are two paths.
One path represents option A,
The other represents option B.
You are not required to choose.
You are simply looking.
Fast turn towards option A.
Imagine yourself taking a few steps along this path.
See yourself.
Living with this choice.
Imagine yourself one month from now.
Than six months from now.
And allow an image to appear.
Don't force it.
Notice what your body feels.
Notice your chest.
Your belly.
Your shoulders.
You fail.
Does your body soften?
Does it contract?
Do you feel lighter?
Heavier.
More open.
More closed.
There is no right answer.
Just notice.
And now step back to the crossroads.
Take a deep breath.
And release option A.
Let it go.
Now turn towards option B.
Imagine yourself taking a few steps along this path.
See yourself living with this choice.
Imagine yourself one month from now.
Than six months from now.
Again,
Don't analyze,
Simply notice.
What happens in your body.
Does something soften?
Does something tighten?
Do you feel lighter?
Heavier?
More expansive,
More restricted.
Perhaps you notice excitement.
Perhaps fear.
Perhaps relief.
Or resistant.
Just observe.
And now return to the crossroads.
Let both possibilities exist.
You don't need to make the decision right now.
Now place your awareness at the centre of your chest and silently ask yourself.
What do I already know?
Then become quiet.
Don't look for an answer.
Simply create.
Simply listen.
Just listening.
Ask again.
What would I choose if I wasn't afraid?
And then become still.
And one more thing.
What feels more true for me now.
You may receive a thought.
A word,
An image,
A sensation.
A memory.
Or perhaps nothing at all.
Everything is okay.
Sometimes clarity comes immediately.
Sometimes it comes later.
Sometimes the answer isn't a feeling of excitement.
Sometimes it's simply a quiet sense of relief.
A sense of peace.
Or perhaps a quiet no.
Trust whatever rises without needing to understand.
Bring your awareness now back to the heart.
Imagine a gentle space of stillness here.
And remind yourself.
I don't need to have every answer today.
I can take one step at a time.
I can trust myself.
I can listen to my own inner knowing.
And allow those words to settle.
You have permission to change your mind.
You have permission to take your time.
You have permission to choose what is right for you.
And you have permission to move forward.
Repeat your sankalpa.
Three more times.
In your mind.
And let it come.
Let the clarity come within you.
When you write to me.
Can either stay here and drift off to sleep.
Or gently awaken your fingertips and your toes and come back to your physical body.
Knowing.
To everything is within you.
Hari Om Tat Sat,
Hari Om Tat Sat See you next time.
